A wild few months have gone by and I want to wish you all well and say I will be coming back to booktube with much more content soon. I'm sorry to hear your news, take your time, we will all be here when your ready. I've just lost my dad to cancer and its hard and makes me appreciate my family and what is important. So glad to hear you're cancer free that is amazing. Sending lots of love and hugs to you and your family.

So sorry to hear you went through this, it’s my worst fear as a mother to a young child! I am so glad to hear you are healthy now though, please put your health first. Looking forward to hearing more recommendations from you though as they were always my favourite!

So sorry to hear about the health scare, I am glad you discovered it early and got treated! Wishing you all the best in your recovery ❤ Super exciting that you are joining SPFBOX though! I was a judge with Fantasy Book Critic for the first time last year and I am returning again for this 10th anniversary edition, so I couldn't be more excited! Fingers crossed we both get some great batches full of hidden gems. Happy reading & take it easy 🥰

Great to hear your health is better. Cancer sucks and great they caught it early. Good to hear your back as an SPFBO judge, looking forward to your reviews! Fourth Wing has been negatively received by nearly every reviewer I’ve seen, so yeah… definitely overhyped.

Dang Kitty, so sorry to hear you've been dealing with potential cancer and all the treatment that goes with that. So glad to hear this was caught early and you're recovering well. It's a LOT when you have to deal with the news and all the slew of tests, appointments, procedures, etc. Much love to you

Mark of fool is my current book series. Think you would like it. The series doesn't have a drop off at all. It's top teir. I wish you the best and your family.

I am very pleased to hear you are cancer free and no further treatment required. My sister and I are in our 40s and have been placed on the medium risk path because both our mum and grandmother had breast cancer. We have to have a mammogram every year until we are 50 and if no sign of cancer then we drop down to the low risk path and have them every 3 years. My mums growth, though not aggressive, was found 10 months after her mammogram and when they rechecked the scans there were no signs of it. People check your breasts regularly it is very important as things can change very quickly xx

Absolutely agree with you here, it’s vital for everyone to be checking in on the breasts regularly and making sure that nothing is new/different. I hope all stays well for you, I’m also on the yearly mammograms and maybe MRIs now until I’m 50 so in the same boat as you :) x

Glad to hear you are recovering!! I got diagnosed in 2017. Had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation and so far things are cool. Def takes a mental health toll. I still go to a support group and have made many great friends all along this journey so that’s a positive side to it all. Glad you are getting back to reading. Always a great escape from daily stress😁

glad to hear you are doing better. Sorry you had to go through that. Riding the waves of your past recommendations I've continued reading Sanderson Cosmere standalone novels off the back of Tress and Yumi. I just finished Warbreaker and really liked it. I also read The Sunlit Man. It was also good but I felt like maybe I was missing something by not reading his longer fantasy series. Way more references to other books it felt than the previous three I read.

Ooh interesting, Sunlit Man I’ve not got to just yet so I definitely need to soon and it’s interesting you say if refers to other books in the series. I’ll have to see if they make sense to me as I’ve read most of the Cosmere books in general. And thanks!

OMG! I'm so glad you're back. I'm sorry for all the things you've gone through. That is a lot. You are incredible. I love your SPFBO reviews every year. You introduce me to such great new novels that I wouldn't otherwise choose. I wish I was going to the Glasgow Worldcon but I'm taking a break this year. Chicago was my last. I wish you a fun time!!!
