Sad my friend Paul passed away - he was and will be forever the greatest of all time - he was on code and was proud of blackness - thanks Paul for showing me the way in dealing with the dominant society. Warrior Spirit my brother.
@@marcellespencer124 If you know Mr Mooney's work enough, he called the Que#n UGLY! Do you really think they didn't get that information? that is how it goes, and for some one like Paul Mooney who is such a huge Comedy Icon, not to get mentioned of the Tell-lie-vision. this is a middle finger to him, But! legends never die! Salute!
Ali knew he was indigenous and didn't falsify himself to win as a slave. Start counting your indigenous $$. Got indigenous folks pictures on it too....stop lying!
I love listening to Paul. He is giving us a history lesson richer than History 101. You fill in the blanks and not afraid to speak about any issue. Thank you Sir. Much respect and would love to see you with your choice of comedians and celebrity's have a conversation. Thank you for every laugh and chuckle especially Mrs. Quaker Oats lol
@@zombiesixx6226 I know :( Unfortunately never got to check that off the bucket list...came close back in 2014 but I missed it by getting the address wrong. Forever beating myself up for that. But may he rest well. His genius will live forever
@@CaapriceTube1 , He was even real-er live on stage/in person! I feel so honored to have seen Paul in one of stand-ups in '98 at Caroline's NYC. Paul had PC ppl walking out that theater..and he didn't care a bit😅! 🕊RIP Mr. Paul Mooney👑🕊.
I love me some Paul Mooney. He keeps it real. I'm so glad of what he said about black women. That was so beautiful. We have endured so much including our men. Our men need to stand by us, protect us, love us and nurture us. There's so much as a race we can accomplish.I'm glad to see he is doing well because I heard he was having some health problems and wondered where he has been lately.
Miickey Rosa lol most black women arent worth nurturing. U cant expect black men to nurture black women just because we share the same "race". Black women notoriously turn away the good men to date bottom of the barrel guys and reproduce with them. I need black women to look in the mirror and understand how much power they hold and realize that change in the black community starts with them and not black men.
Are you a black man or woman because it takes both of us to nurture each other. I wasn't placing it solely on black men. I'm sorry you feel this way but our people are losing not being there for one another. Please don't stereotype because most black women want someone in their life but not willing to lower their standards especially when we've been mistreated, lied to, and played games with. Some of us are angry when we want our men to step up and if you are a black man, it is your duty as a man to lead. That is missing today in our relationships. Some black men decide on a few bad apples and decide to go to other races of women instead of finding a woman that mirrors you. Don't give up to easily on finding that mate your looking for. It's unfortunate in today's climate with everything that has been going on towards our people that we should stick by each other more than ever. This is our wake up call but we may not do so. Obviously you have to deal with whatever issues you have about black women. I was complimenting on what Paul Mooney spoke of and that is his stance on us black women. Don't diminish what he feels in retrospect to what you may feel. May you change your mind on the subject and find peace in your life.
You want to know what is so sad about you two and countless other black men on here, you misconstrued my comment. If you notice in my first post I said"We have endured so much INCLUDING OUR MEN". I made you guys inclusive but you took my comment and made it a negative when I was trying to be positive. It's so funny that you BLACK men come on here lashing out on black women instead of finding solutions where we can have better relations but NO you guys want to be coddled and make it all better for you. Grow up, find some direction and treat yourself and your woman better. You have black men on here having a problem with black women having more money, more education and not bowing down to you but as soon as a few bad apples make you feel bad, then it's all black women. You run to those exotic women you love so much. A lot of us ride or die for you but you're not appreciative of that. Some of us try to uplift your behinds but your insecurities set in. We want you to lead and better our family unit but too buy complaining. Get over yourself. I won't waste my time with a man that doesn't treat me right but would rather lie, misuse and abuse his own woman. STOP trying to be the PIMP and be the MAN you're supposed to be. AND NOW I'M DONE!
It’s so refreshing to listen to someone speak truth unapologetically. I love real talk...Mr. Paul Mooney would you please grace us with your wisdom, Thank you. Show up anywhere and we will show up for you. Bless you.
I hope Paul Mooney continues to be healthy and wise so that he can stay with us for a long long time. We need Black Celebrity Elders like him in the public eye.
I lost it when he said, "we were on a mission, like a crackhead and you heard what I said, cause you've done crack". Mooney will bust you ass out. LMAO!!!!!
Khlover Jai Paul don't care you heard what he said about his brother. Dr Watson: I talk to your brother Richard Ealy. Paul Mooney: He's an crackhead too you talking to the right person.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was also born in my Grandmother's home. My Great Aunt delivered me into this world and this was in the 60s in Virginia. We have something in common Mr. Mooney.💗🙏🏾
Godfather of comedy. Great interview. Negroland is in the west Africa, we are the Negos known as the kingdom of Judah. stolen from this land. it was known that the culture was different from other kingdoms. i would like to hear Pauls view on this knowledge. Being that we stand out from the rest, set trends, shine like stars on the world stage and the salt of the earth yet hold us back from our genius to be self sustainable
I Love him so and am so grateful that I've seen his live show countless times and now even more for his sweet tribute to black women. Thank you, Mr. Mooney.
One thing that I really like about this interviewer is that he did his due diligence research on Paul Mooney and was able to properly interview him unlike so many of the other interviewers who will bring Paul on and not know anything about his long list of accomplishment! Great job interviewer and great interview
great to watch Paul here, but in between the moments of his greatness you can see some elements of the dementia ever so slightly, god bless you Paul, your're a funny brother
He's trying to be politically correct to cater to an audience that Paul Mooney will not conform for. So you cant necessarily blame him because he does have an audience but he's being to straight, almost too square. He should be a little more chill.
Paul is a great gentlemen. So patient, and able to redirect interviews so that they have so much momentum. TDr Watson seems to be a family friend, but I have seen Mooney save 100 interviews in the same way. Kind but lethal with the truth.
The interviewer not knowing any of the people Paul was talking about took this great interview to another level... "Who's the one that look like the man on the oatmeal box?"..."Aunt Jemina!!"😂😂😂
16:27 😂😂😂😂 Boyyyyy if you don't stop playing. Now you *know good and well* they not gonna have Meryl Streep pasty ass as no Harriet Tubman. 💀 It's who white people call *"the black Meryl Streep"* that's playing Harriet Tubman and that would be Viola Davis. 😊 I thought I was dead at that Condoleezza part he almost killed me twice with this! ❤💖❤
I am ecstatic to see this greatest among greats still speaking and holding it DOWN. Still making trouble. I am incredibly happy to see the awesome Mr. Mooney; the voice and mind behind so many of our best comics.
Paul Mooney and D.L. Hughley...the only two male Black entertainers who are un-apologetically proud of Black American women and willing to acknowledge their resilience and their worth! You will defend a Black woman when and where necessary. I hold the utmost respect for you for that. THANK YOU! You are an amazing talent...Get well King, We Need You!
Paul Mooney is THE blast from the past WOW, and he's still spiting truth... it's a lot rippled in books but the oral traditions are yet alive. powerfully honest speaking writer...Good to see and hear ya again... " on a mission"...
1DNETTA Oh yes most definitely. However the rest of her family.....the black side. Did u see them in ATL celebrating her wedding at their home...it was so nice and cute. They had their hats on and in tears.
Brotha Paul Mooney I LOVE THIS BEAUTIFUL MAN ....STILL!!!! I have admirer this man his mind is amazing w/the wealth of knowledge & truth! He never stops learning & sharing. I agree when he said he would "kill for another TV special" so would I. Your #1 NY admirer & fan. STAY BRILLIANT and thank you for the millions of laughs.
Paul Mooney , LEGAND !!! I have seen him twice live . AMAZING man. He has done so much. Thank you Mr. Mooney for your contribution. Continued Blessings.
LMAO....Paul just said Wesley Snipes so black that if you was riding him on your motorcycle, the police would give you a ticket for tinted windows. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Before you call some me a halfwit do your homework. First, when you're listening to a comedian you can't take things seriously. They are called comedians for a reason, they make jokes. Secondly, have you even read or seen some of the comments that Wesley Snipes made about black women or blacks in particular? Like black people are not good actors. And there's the insulting comments he made back in the 90's about the reason why he doesn't date black women. This during the time he was in Jungle Fever. He made a derogatory statement that black women are too fat and ghetto. I'll never forget this. Like I said don't take comedians seriously and do your homework before you defend a racist.
No problem! You see I've grown to learn that comedians just joke. But when you sit down with the interviewer and make negative derogatory comments about someone or people, you have to realize that it's going to be printed in the magazines for people to read. Therefore, those comments are made to be serious. Have a good day. LAUGH MORE!
Man I remember when I worked in Oakland in the 90's .I was a detail driver , went to get The Dr. Watson's Lexus and dropped his keys down the elevator shaft .. WAYOUT.
I AM SORRY BUT I HAD TO PAUSE IT @24:49 TO ASK, WHO IS THIS DUDE INTERVIEWING PAUL MOONEY AND DOES HE HAVE BOTOX IN HIS LIPS OR SOMETHING? HIS LIPS AREN'T MOVING AND YOU CAN HEAR THE WAY HE SOUNDS SORT OF MUFFLED.....GREAT INTERVIEW THOUGH OTHERWISE!
