Healthy Ageing in South Korea 

This week ILC’s Chief Executive, David Sinclair attended the 2024 Healthy Ageing Korea forum co-hosted by GSK Korea and the British Embassy in Seoul.
Whilst in Seoul, David took time to reflect on the challenges posed by Korea’s rapidly ageing society, their existing successes and how the country’s new Ministry of Population strategy may drive improvements in areas such as low birth rates. On ILC’s 2024 Healthy Ageing and Prevention Index, South Korea has placed highly, securing both third place in terms of healthy life expectancy and 5th in terms of life expectancy.
