One could argue that pizza in its various incarnations is a major stone in the culinary foundation of Western Civilization. Perhaps not sophisticated enough? Need that be a requirement? It’s a simple, yet complete and nutritious food that’s accessible to the masses, and delicious, so why not make it at home?
