This was so peaceful! Just wanted to mention that coconut oil is an emoillient, so it doesn't add moisture to the skin, it seals in any existing moisture in the skin and smoothes the skin. If your skin is dry and you add the oil on top, you may be preventing moisture from entering your skin as the oil will form a barrier. So just something to be aware of when using coconut oil this way. In order to draw mosture into the skin, you need a humectant in addition (something like Aloe vera or glycerin, etc.). Also to those that may want to add coconut oil to their routine, just be aware it highly comedogenic and can clog pores. This means for some people, especially if you have oily skin, it could worsen acne or cause irritation.

Thanks for saying all of this! I tried coconut oil just like this many years ago from a different RU-vidr and it really messed up my skin and made me super itchy.

I've found that coconut oil over damp skin can help me. Also mixing oil with a water based cream helps my super dry skin hold moisture better.

Yes thanks for pointing out, traditionally in South India ( Kerala and Tamil Nadu) it's extensively used for hair care, not on skin by itself due to the comadogenic properties. Sesame oil on the other hand is the base along with saffron and other herbs to make Kumkumadi oil which is a great skin care oil :) 💚

I use all of those Trader Joe’s products and I love them! A while back they had a vitamin c serum that came in a holiday kit and I regret not getting a back up but I agree all of their beauty products are lovely 🥰 it also a plus that my husband works for Trader Joe’s 🥰 I enjoy your videos so much

Thanks for sharing your skincare routine;). I need to try those products. Coconut oil doesn't work for me. I mix several oils together with eucerin. Best for my dry skin. You got a great deal on that tub of Coconut oil. Love your channel ❤

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...!! LOVE this video! I am in LOVE with the Calm and Breethe Apps. But, I have terrible rosacea and melasma on my face. So, I have products for that. But, I am going through this weird stage with my makeup and skin. My makeup breaks up on my face. Waaaahhhhh!!! I am 46! Anyway, you're beautiful!

Coconut oil os so moisturizing n makes ur skin supple I wish my skin wasn't so reactive to it. My hair also love it but any contact on skin will make me break out n m someone who doesn't have any acne as such but this one just breaks me everywhere even my scalp. It's so wild coz m from the land of coconut

I always love your beauty recommendations! I’ve taken a lot of what you talk in your beauty videos! Also idk if you have ever tried it but I have been using COXRX Snail Mucin 96 and retinol it has made such a difference in my skin!! I am 32 but I al looking older or my age and I recently was mistaken by someone’s daughter!! I believe it’s the Mucin and Retinol that has made a difference on my skin

@@racheltalbott Hey! Sorry I didnt answer earlier. Didn’t see this until now but I use the mucin everyday and the retinol once a week at night. I love it and the mucin i use it twice a day. Once at night and once in the morning after the toner.

@@racheltalbott I actually have been recommending it to my friends it’s really good. I try to keep my routine simple, sometimes I use face wash but most times I just wash my face with water, unless I have used make up, which I don’t use often. Another great product that I discovered while visiting my sister is the Acute Brightening facial scrub, OMG, it leaves your face so soft! I had to buy it and my husband loved it too, I don’t use it when I do retinol because I made that mistake once and the retinol made my face a bit red so, I use it only use it once a week as well but making sure a few days before applying retinol that way it doesn’t irritate my skin. I also use the Acure Ultra hydrating Shampoo and conditioner which are really clean products no BS or alcohol on their ingredients.

I'm so frustrated with moisturizer. I constantly feel way too oily and greasy. I've tried different ones. I just sweat very easily. I'm lost with it. Still. At 44.

I think you should put eye cream first, then sunscreen. Sunscreen always be the last step to protect your skin.

Your skin is incredible! Curious if you will share, do you get Botox? I’m 42 & my skin is in good shape, but I’m always curious about other’s skincare, etc.

Thank you! I don’t get Botox or any other treatments at the moment. I think certain lasers or peels might be of interest down the line depending… I’m not against Botox perse, but I tried it in the past and personally wasn’t a big fan of how it made my face look. I don’t have anything in my face at the moment, just trying to be consistent with skincare, exercise, supplements, and staying hydrated for now and hoping for the best lol 🙏🏻 also, trying not to be a stress ball! lol

I know. I actually thought the marine collagen had a better taste than this one. Sometimes I put it in with my milk frother and vanilla extract and add to coffee. That’s better tasting

Y not dry brush before washing ur face? Then the exfoliated skin can b washed off n then products go on clean skin.
