CNN’s Victor Blackwell speaks with five Black men about their reaction to Kamala Harris’ DNC speech, what they expect from the next president, and who they think would win if the election was held tomorrow. #CNN #News
@@bigphyne2002 Ok, ONE of them-but the OP said ALL. There's nothing wrong with making generalizations if it's a fact that applies to the majority. And all that is required for a majority is 50 + 1. Of course they can't speak for all-but it doesn't have to be all in order to still generally be true. Seems like some here are absolutely devastated that these views may somehow mischaracterize them to the world & so stating the obvious has become of utmost & supreme importance. Newsflash-Did you also hear the breaking news that water is also wet?
Doesn't MATTER. THIS ADMINISTRATION NAME BIDEN HARRIS..... and so Far Biden is mentally off, so therefore it is HER THAT IS CURRENTLY RUNNING THE COUNTRY. Unless you are admitting about they're puppets and someone else is really running the country. You people are truly politically ignorant!😮
@@funnybones9321as VP she’s in charge of the border right now and has been for the past several years. She has let millions come through and overrun cities costing tax payers billions. She’s flash without substance
Yep, grocery prices are the same for everyone. But the ability to get a home loan a car loan or any loan at decent interest rates aren't. The opportunity to live in a neighborhood with safer schools better schools is not available to many people of color. As much progress as we made after the civil Rights act there's still much more to go. We do not walk the same walk as you. You just have to search Karen videos on RU-vid to see how little has changed.
The price of 'groceries' isn't all that Black people are concerned with. Blacks face extreme existential threats from the political Right. In fact, it is absolutely disturbing.
These men are so worried about the economy not being talked about, but looking at their surroundings, it doesn't look like they are living in poverty. Let's talk to real American people, the ones who are actually struggling.
Her father is not black. He is Indian/Irish born in Jamaica. She is married to a Jewish man. She doesn’t have biological children. Nor tried to adopt or foster or mentor black kids. How is she for black people? Black men? How is she for family? She is 100% for pro life for women. What is she speaking too for the black families, communities and our economy?
So by ignoring race you think that racism won’t exist??? I’m so tired of people that aren’t the impacted minority say this crap. You are probably an individual that doesn’t acknowledge black people in society.
why would we stop talking about race when it still affects people? racial minorities are still subject to racism in america (and across the world). therefore, their race is unfortunately an important part of their lives. and in society, we talk about important issues. get it? have you noticed how it's mainly white people and bigots who complain about 'bringing up race'? people who aren't affected by racism (micro-aggressions, discrimination, lack of representation, full blown hate/dehumanisation, white supremacy and colonisation around the globe). of course, people who haven't experienced historical/systematic judgment based on their race or those who are adamant on acting delusional do not think it's a big deal, that doesn't make it true. it means they need to learn empathy, open their mind , come down to earth and get comfortable facing the tough parts of reality without trying to sweep them under the rig with this 'stop talking about race/gender' bullshit. we'll stop talking about race and gender when people stop dehumanising others, based on their race and gender. just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.
I am 100% BLACK American man and I will NOT be voting the same way as David Duke, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, The Proud Boys, White Knights or any other yt supremacist backed organization...
Why does it matter at all what the color of the US citizen's skin looks like when the discussion is the direction of the country and the policies / action steps that will get us there. The title should have been "what 6 unrelated men think of Kamala Harris for president"
If any President does not have a supporting Senate or Congress, then it doesn't matter what policies he/she promises, it won't happen. Voting down ballot is key.
Like most of the black men have been saying in their comments on this video, a lot of the things those five black men said doesn’t represent how all black men feel about the issues they were discussing in this particular video as a whole in this country.
I wish Victor had not let the Trump voter get away with calling Harris a liar for saying that Trump wanted to be an autocrat. Trump said in his own words that he wanted to be a dictator for a day. Harris did not lie, that Trumper did by accusing her of lying.
Kamala Harris said price gauging, she said North Korea is U.S ally 😅. How can people think she is qualified to be president of the USA is really beyond my comprehension!
Do the black people voting Trump not realize that half the GOP would repeal the 13th amendment if they could? Those confederate flags on Jan 6th not clue you in yet?
My concern with people voting for the convict over the counselor. How do you think Trump will enhance you life. I don’t understand people who wanna vote for this clown
Who cares about a speech off a teleprompter to a friendly crowd? If I'm buying a car I don't care about the dealers favorite recipe, I want info about the car, a test drive and a price. Black folks need to be about business for change. Kamala's was forced to speak more during her McDonald's interview than she has been by the media. Over a month of shucking and ducking, If she won't let her policies be scrutinized how can you even begin to trust her? Wake up black men, you're about to be bamboozeled once again.
Hakeem made more sense than all the others put together!!! She's NOT a politician for BLACK PEOPLE, BUT FOR ALL PEOPLE. Anyone black who votes for Trump is very UNIFORMED.
I just read all of the comments on here from black men and not one of them say they’re voting for Kamala Harris. This just proves all your corrupt lies.
Meanwhile 200 White Republicans just endorsed her. Sad display of black unity from these brothers. Most of us don't want to hear about policy more than what we want to see. We had 4yrs of Trumps talk while doing nothing. Give her the same chance.
What black men does she put in jail? Those who commit crimes? Out of close to 1900 cases before her, she placed 40 in prison and created programs for education and employment for low level crimes.
I heard the speech..so did MILLIONS OF VOTERS. We made our minds up YEARS AGO..the FACT CNN trying to manipulate voter is a waste of your time.. YOU WORK FOR TRUMP and WE WILL NEVER FORGET the what FIRST cable news network in america is doing
Black, white, purple, or green, there is only one legitimate candidate, one presidential candidate, one qualified candidate, one capable candidate, one patriotic candidate, one serious candidate....Kamala Harris. 💙💙💙
I don’t think she’s going after a black man policy. I think Kamala Harris is trying to give us a People’s policy to cover everyone not just black men; guys come on now!!!!!
I know that some will vote for Harris while others will vote for Trump. But Harris has been in there for 4 years and is STILL there, so her promises are nonsense.
I wish I were interviewed! I am a black and also Latino . As an Afro-hispanic man, my feet are in both the African-American groups. I wish I were asked about VP Harris From what others in both groups have shared with me, overwhelmingly we like her. I totally enjoyed the speech and totally support her. Kamala Harris is my choice for President!
See how many Black people she put in jail and kept them there longer than necessary for cheap labor for California how would you feel if you were one of those prisoners?
As a black man, I think these five guys each represented the diverse views of black men. We are not the same. You can tell from the conversation that Charles is MAGA while Henry and Anthony are democrats. Hakeem and Omar are independent with different leanings. Obviously none of them represent the view from the trap, but we all know black men like these five guys.
I could care less what color any president is aslong as they are doing right for the American People. Take care of the United States because we need to be taken care of instead of always helping other countries fix their problems..
The entire conversation regarding our bodies is that no one want to talk about rape and incest, life of the mother. Get out of the doctor's office and our bedrooms!
I hate when CNN does this especially after that incident with the black conservative snuck in as an undecided voter . You can hear the talking points of all the conservative black men here in this video . How can people trust CNN or any other station doing shit like this ????
How in the hell can anyone call themselves Black and even contemplate an "idea" of voting for trump? And I tire of people who mistakenly blame Dems for lack of action on helping them when it takes MORE than just a President in power to implement great policies. It requires control of House and the Senate. And to top it off, Dems do a horrible job of educating voters on this and the GOP takes advantage of un-educated voters both black and white.
Black men are not voting for Kamala en mass, cut it out. Men, especially black men are pragmatic. Anybody can say what they wanna do but it’s the how that matters. We care about economics, jobs, education, the border, energy, inflation… Kamala has nothing but talking points. Talking about her dad is not gonna feed anyone’s children. Trump talked about policy right away. She could make change right now but has done nothing
A woman can decide to abort a child because it’s inconvenient but a soldier will risk his life to put a soldier on his back - and I mean his - and it’s heroic. Women need to be heroic too - carry your child to term. We need children, there are people that can’t have children - they’ll adopt. Heroic girls. Kamala’s mother had her and the father coached her to go after life. How can she support right to death.
I can’t see why any black man/woman would vote for Trump. After all our ancestors went through to pave a path for us, you would put someone in a position that can take us backwards. My main reason for voting for her would be freedom. People ran for their lives, worked hard & struggle to have it. why would I not want to keep it going for my black community future?
This is amazing to me. At this point, there shouldn’t be a debate on who gets your vote. If it’s a debate, then it tells me a lot about who you are. It’s not about being a democrat or republican. It’s about being a patriot and the direction and progress for our country. I hear too many tRump talking points on repeat. I don’t see how anyone in their right, sound mind would vote orange. Sounds like some men are willing to accept the behavior, lack of education, dictator mindset of a 34 count felon who is willing to compromise our country and turn us back in time then to accept a smart, strong, intelligent woman to bring this country away from a nightmare. This “panel” has shades of strong chauvinism.
For all the black men saying these gentlemen do not represent you, lets explore the demographic: 1. Younger black male seemingly gay who is a Harris supporter. 2. Seemingly well educated black male who gives the impression he would vote Trump but may vote for Harris bc its the right thing to do for the disapora. 3. Father who is active in his home with wife and kids. Seemingly will vote Harris but ia concerned if she has evolved into a better leader 4. A well eductaed and successful black conservative who seems to be a staunch Trump supporter. 5. As he said, he is a fiscal conservative but socially liberal. He isnt a Democrat or Republican. But seems like he will vote Harris. Soooooo with that in mind, I am so confused why none of these men would fit most molds. I dont think anyone would want yo relate to someone broke, black, and uneducated. So these are great representations of how the average Black man looks and acts today.
The inflation, high prices, & other economic problems came from this administration's policies. Where in the world has Socialism, forced equity, Social Justice policies, & Marxist themed economics ever actually worked? How is Venezuela doing these days? Do we want that here in the States now? My vote for Trump is not because of his behavior, its because of his & the GOP's policies.
