These dreams or Never . Barracuda was revengeful song on their record label at that time that made up a story of them been incest lesbians as publicity stunt . This song was direct shot to that executive that tried to defame them I say they got there revenge lol 😂😆
This is some live footage synced up with their studio version. The actual live footage version does exist as well. I highly recommend both live and studio with all Heart songs. Some More Heart Recommendations: "Magic Man" Live 1976 (and Studio version) "Crazy on You" Live 1978 (and Studio version) "Love Alive" "Nada One" "Sing Child" "Heartless" "Without You" (Badfinger cover) "Cry to Me" "Say Hello" "Straight On" "Dog & Butterfly" "Mistral Wind"
Heart is a great rock band that started in the 70's. Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. They have had so many great hits such as "Crazy on You", "Magic Man", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams", "Alone" etc. In 2012 Ann & Nancy performed at the Kennedy Center Honors in a tribute to Led Zeppelin doing their classic song "Stairway To Heaven".
I first heard this song in the mid 2000's, I was around in the 70's but this band wasn't on my metaphorical radar. This is now one of my favourites with one of the most iconic opening riffs 🤘
They were iconic trailblazers as women in Rock n roll of that era. I grew up close to Seattle in Canada and these sisters exploded on the scene and paved the way for women fronted bands. Their concerts were awesome they put on a great show. Ann had a powerful voice that stop you in your tracks live. 🔥🔥 Thank you this was nice to revisit Heart. ❤🤟
"Magic Man" , ""Straight On", "Dog and Butterfly" just to name a few..Look for the early live versions from the 70's..Another song from the movie "Footloose" from the 1980's that featured Kevin Bacon is "Almost Paridise" The only live version up here on RU-vid is with Kenny Loggins..The original singer that sang the song with Ann was Mike Reno..Either way it's live and a great version of the song...
This was a hit because they could PLAY and it ROCKED and it was the 70s. So being able to rock hard and actually play and sing mattered. It also didn't hurt that they could all sing and write great song. They have a ton of great songs.
Definitely check out the Alice In Chains and gretchen wilson remake of this song. You won’t believe how much gretchen and ann sound alike but of no relation. They only shared the same last name
Remember the producer spread the lie. About the Wilson sisters being lesbians? Well the lyrics are at at that man. Referring to him as the barracuda. And burn to the wick. It’s the same thing as being held up to the flame The song is about persecuting the producer spreading that lie about the Wilson sisters. Notice the attitude being unleashed. ☠️ They were pissed at that dude. Best, and hottest female rockers of all time.
