Has nothing to do with it. Fact is these aging rockers, mainly vocalists, can’t perform at the same level they did in their prime. We can choose to ignore it or call it for what is painfully obvious.
At 73 and 69 years old, it's crazy that they can still perform.. these girls are the greatest female rock artist that's ever grace a stage.. God bless you ladies and thank you for the great music.. music that will live forever..
To be fair, why aren't ppl saying the same thing about the Rolling Stones who are in their 80s? I mean, I have never heard anyone say 'Wow!! It's crazy the Rolling Stones still play perform live when they're (insert 60s, 70s age here). It is a bit patronizing with that in mind, js.
@shadelings you're right , same thing with Aerosmith.. the difference for me is the music.. I think the level of difficulty between Heart and the Stones are night and day.. I've never been able to listen to the stones, as a musician it's hard to like a three chord rock band.. even though they have my respect, I've never bought one single album of theirs
I give Ann so much credit for doing Barracuda live at the Seattle game outdoors on cold day a couple of weeks ago at 73. 73! In the original key too. It wasn’t perfect but it was LIVE. That song is hard enough to sing at any age. PROS always deliver. Unlike most of the garbage popular today.
Nancy has been with Heart since 1974 ~ that's fifty years. Ann has been a professional musician before Heart was formed. Wanting to say since she was seventeen. So Ann has been a professional fifty-six years ? Before Heart was heart it was White Heart. Before that it was the Army.
I love watching new videos of Ann & Nancy. I'm 63 and they are reminders that we are not old! And Nancy's Led Zep shirt? With the utmost respect and admiration, what a cool chick!
These Ladies are American treasures. For Ann to even attempt this song at her age is absolutely insane. As A Musician myself I have witnessed some great Female singers in their 20's who refused to attempt singing Heart. Ann you pulled this off so well you deserve an award for the Greatest Female Rock singer. God bless you Ladies for getting back together. Nancy you still rock our socks off. That acoustic intro was so incredible all I have to say is HEART "kick it out" ❤️ 💥 🤘
@@lancedibble4724 that's ok we Love our Canadian neighbors Alot of great talent. I might be wrong but I think the Sisters grew up in Seattle Washington.
Nancy is 69. Her leg kick reached near to her shoulder in height. I'm 69. I can't get my damn foot high enough off the floor to put socks on. 'nuff said. 😂
Ann is one of the best voices in Rock. Period. Glad to see the sisters still in action of performing... Still doing what they were meant to do: play and sing.
I have seen heart many times since the initial peak in late 70's as a teen. Ann has lost a little on the high end but she is 70+.. still sounds dam good.. her voice still has power and she can still smoke the younger generation. Just to see them on stage again together is great. Go see them, because at some point it will be over and no more.
@jimmythundarrsdrumcoverser492 Human? When I listen to music, I don't care how 'human' it is. I care if it's good, if it calms or if it expresses some emotion/passion🤔. You care if it is human? Hell, there's alot of bad singers that are 'human' but I wouldnt buy their music🤪?!?!?! I think what you meant is 'real' not 'human', but hey, your ignorance.🤔 Heart🤩 is certainly 'human', and they're 'real', but they are also mega-rusty/trainwreck at this time🤔!!
There are no others like the Wilson sisters...period...both of them to still be performing & giving it their all (and still being amazing...) Legends...still, forever and always...
As someone who listened to more R&B, Funk, and Diso, I must say these two ladies are absolutely amazing. When you talk about the top female rockers, you better have these two at the top. Two amazing musicians, and yes, Ann can still deliver. 😊😊😊😊😊
we all have a shelf life. If the audience still enjoys it live..that's all that matters. Absolutely incredible songwriters and musicians of their time.
Thank you Lord for blessing us with these two beautiful girls on the stage together again. I wish you the best and please keep entertaining us for as long as you can.
Wow has this material held up so WELL over the years! The Wilson Sisters have much to be proud of. Ann still singing her heart out at 73??!! And I LOVE the intensity she brings. This is such a tough song to sing - and it looks like she's getting a bit frustrated with herself for the struggle. But I'm pretty sure there aren't many 20-something aspiring rockers who could handle this one either. Well done! Thanks for posting!
They didnt bury the hatchett really though. They never talk or interact or anything at these shows and the leave separate sides of the stage. Nancy is just in the band. And Ann sounds rough
Sounds great. It’s. Amazing how she has maintained that voice for more than 5 decades. Both of them. Many cannot and will not pull off what these talented women have pulled off and accomplished
Excellent job!! I saw them in the 80's and loved every minute of it!! To still be kicking it at 73 and hitting those high notes and Nancy still rocking the guitar is totally awesome. They ROCK!!! To try and sing their songs and Ann's high notes is not an easy task. Love them!!!
No doubt that if I wanted to learn how to play a guitar, I would want to learn from Ann Willson !!!!! She might not be the best but she's plays in a style I would live to learn !!
I saw then four times in the 80s. During one show in the outdoor ampitheater it started to rain. They continues to play until they had no choice but to sign off because the rain became a very hard. But it seemed everyone in that sold out show sat, for two songs at least, in the rain to see them play. Theyre that good.
I do know this, Ann and Nancy Wilson definitely do not need the money, so they are doing every show and every song for their die hard fans, of which I am one…and I love and appreciate them for it.
No!!! They need the MONEY...maybe you and I think they have enough but when you are used to a lifestyle and income, it is almost impossible to let go. Very few people can check out and be happy. It's a business.
Ann and Nancy on the same stage! In the end, blood is thicker than water. The closer they come to their last days on earth, the more they will appreciate the fact that they still care for each other.
i always had a whicked crush on Ann Wilson since the 1970s, and i still love her to this day. its great to hear she can still these songs and look great doing it. i grew up listening to Heart, and now im growing old still listening to Heart, what a great life its been... Love you Ann ❤❤❤
I have seen.heart 7 or 8 times and I will see them in December 15 in las vegas and one thing about heart they always play the old classic songs thank you Ann and Nancy your the greatest!!!!
You get Nancy Wilson playing, it's a thing. After all these years, she still has those chops. But my comment is about Ann Wilson. I met her in Vancouver in I think maybe around 1988 or so. She was a monster. Ann talked to me between sets and she was so nice and so smart. She told me in 5 minutes, more about singing and my voice than anyone since. Ann has so much power that it has to be dialed down. She sings like the front line of the 1976 Raiders. You don't see it coming but then this wave of power in song. Ann Wilson. What a great band.
AWSOME JOB,,,NICE TO SEE BOTH THE GIRLS ON THE SAME STAGE TOGETHER LOVED you IN 1977 HIGH SCHOOL STILL LOVE YOU TODAY ,,P.S. Just learned Rockin Heaven Down on Guitar Yea it's in Drop D tuning LOl❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think they sound pretty good! Ann wants it to be good and you can see herself fighting to strain it. I think she sounds wonderful. And Nancy is kicking butt on the guitar!
I would like to see the Wilsons honored for the Kennedy Center Award. They so deserve it. On tour, starting in April, for 5 months stateside and in Europe. Amazing endurance needed. Sending you +energy.
It’s been a while for sure. So glad to see the sisters back on stage. I’m sure once regular shows are under way Ann’s voice will sound better than ever. It’s like any other muscle. Once she gets that warmed up and stretched those high tones will flow much more easier for her. She has a fantastic range and has always powered out . Great song and a killer version. Looks like there are 4 guitarists now including Nancy. I was lucky enough to see them in the old days with Howard. Thanks for posting .
We saw them in an INDOOR show about 8 years ago and I swear . . .it was SUPREMELY powerful! I have seen the very best in my years - over a hundred of the strongest performers of the time and yet . . .their performance was just incredible!
Ann's definitely finding the workarounds and ways to get the spirit of the vocal across. It was really interesting to see her facial expressions after each particular line. It seemed like she was giving herself a mental "grade" at how it went. I was a little sad to see the moments when it seemed like she was disappointed in herself - that "I should have done better" look - but I also felt tremendous respect for her artistic discipline. She shouldn't have felt that way though - most performing artists lose a step as they get on in years, and sometimes it's enough to be able to still provide the broad strokes, so that the audience can keep making that connection with that particular artist. Nobody's ever going to be able to match Ann Wilson performing Crazy on You - even someone who can hit all the notes perfectly - because they're not Ann Wilson. If somebody came to you and said, "we're going to arrange your birthday party, including the entertainment. You can have either 2023 Heart with Nancy and Ann, neither of whom are able to do what they used to do at the same level, or a Heart cover band that is able to perform every song note-perfect," which would you choose?
I agree. She knows these songs are out of her range now and she’s trying. They are beholden to these classic songs. Check out her latest solo album. She’s singing in the key that’s right for her now.
They still got it, Nancy set those frets on fire every bit as good as she did when this song hit over 40 years ago. Ann still sounds fantastic, she gave it her all. To think they're still kicking serious ass at this age is amazing. Bless them both, I hope they keep going as long as they can.
Saw them 2 yrs ago in Tinley Park. IL and they were my first concert in 82’ at the Lakeland Civic Center. Simply Awesome! Ann and Nancy still have it! I ❤ Heart!
What amazingly talented artists they are, they have more talent in their little pinky fingers than most musicians in music today. Raw talent, Rock On Ladies!!!! Pure Legends!
Thanks for sharing this. When I hear that acoustic guitar intro, I know right away what song it is. It is my favorite acoustic guitar intro in a rock and roll song. I was fortunate enough to see Heart 5 times live. They have made great music, over the decades. Cheers! ✌️
I've seen Heart several times since the 70's, and was at this show. I thought the whole band put on a great performance! Ann and Nancy are both legends, and it was a privilege to see them playing together again.
Singers like Ann, Geoff Tate, Eric Martin etc who could sing anything with ease in their prime, it must be frustrating when your voice won’t cooperate like it did in its heyday when it came with ease and your a perfectionist . I truly feel for them.
People of my generation who grew up with 70s rock were so spoiled! Bands likes like Heart, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin all day long... I was relieved to hear that Paul Rogers is still The Voice he has always been despite a recent medical challenge that nearly silenced him. We all appreciate the wonderful music put out by these great musicians who have filled our lives with energy and smiles, consolation and understanding, and some great companionship as we blast down the hiway! Best music era ever!
Every time I watch a video of them performing live, I think, "now way she can still sing these songs".....but then she DOES!!! Maybe not quite as well as she used to, but holy cow!! It's amazing she can sing them at all!!! Fantastic!
