I wish she would go crazy on me! That would be a dream fulfilled. OMG! They were both so fine back then and sang so well! The Wilson Sisters rocked! 👏🏻🎸😎
Dude you are not lying I remember the exact minute I found girls. Watching these two on TV late at night playing this song. When Nancy was playing the opening and went from the Spanish sound to the faster style and kicked up her leg with knee high boots on, I as a 9-year-old was done. I was staring at the TV so hard my mom asked me what was wrong with me, and my dad chimed in that blonde headed girl on TV is what's wrong with him.
Barracuda, Magic Man, Down On Me, Rockin' Heaven Down, Heartless, Devil Delight, Straight On, Mistral Wind-which is maybe the 1 grunge song, Dog & Butterfly, Little Queen, Alone, You choose! Or do everything haha
When I saw them in the late 70's I was up front against the stage right in front of Nancy Wilson. Back then you could take cameras in. I took a bunch of pictures and one time I got her attention mid-song and she looked right at me and stuck her tongue out at me....we both laughed...as she shredded on. One of my best memories from all the rock concerts of the 70's.
@@broaction5343 LOL .. I think Lisa meant to react to Heart's song "Kick it out" .. so don't kick her comment out .. right Lisa? OR am I the only one that read it that way .. if so oopsie😬🙃
Guys, the most popular female rock singer in the early 1980s was Pat Benatar. Her voice is amazing and she is HOT!! Find "Heartbreaker", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "Hell Is For Children" -- search for these on youtube Live at New Haven 1982. This was a concert with excellent footage of her band. Thanks Bros.
Gotta say.... I don't know about most popular, but she was good. And, as far as "hottest"... meh, she never did much for me as far as looks go, but that's a matter of personal taste. Stevie Nicks, IMO was FAR hotter than Pat, but again... personal taste. Ann's vocals, for me, were a level above!! Just saying, Peace
Great reaction! Love it! Ann is my favorite female vocalist of all time. And maybe favorite all around. Her high g growl note is huge! Barracuda, Alone, Magic Man, Never, These dreams(Nancy sings). Anything. Nancy can Sing too.
Alone - Heart. Ann Wilson’s voice is unbelievable in this powerful song and beautiful ballad. Love to see you react to that banger from Heart! Thanks for your reaction to this classic tune!
"Magic Man" brothers.... BANGER!!! Then you'll wanna do "Barracuda" Live '76 Midnight Special performance is excellent. It's not as epic as Stevie Nicks' Rhiannon Midnight Special performance, but I think you'll really enjoy it live. Heart/the Wilson sisters are amazing and Ann's vocals are crazy!! Great reaction to these great ladies!!! Edit: I think you may have already done Barracuda.... but definitely NEED to do Magic Man....Peace...
You’ve got to check out Pat Benatar! She’s a classically trained soprano and will rock your socks off! Heartbreaker Fire and Ice Hit me with Your Best Shot
Love that you love these sisters, my soul sisters!!❤❤ Another great reaction!! 👏🏽👏🏽 Love grittier pre 80's. Try Kick It Out, Dog & Butterfly, Straight On-my fav or Magic Man. 👍🏽 Ann released a new single the other day Black Wing at the young age of 70!! ❤❤👍🏽✌🏽
In '79... my then girlfriend lived near Ann Wilson's house in Enetai Park on Lake Washington. Neighbors and girlfriend invited to a BBQ at Ann's house. Sat next to Ann, with many Beatle tunes and more, with a guitar... and she MOVED MY HAIR ! Have met Ann and Nancy many times. So gooood.
Heart like Fleetwood Mac was 2 couples who broke up (2 brothers & 2 sisters); then the girls continued alone! But...Roger Fisher on lead guitar really drove their hits!
Do yourselves a favor and go watch this version-- Heart- Backstage, "Crazy on You" 1977 It has a few minutes of backstage footage and then they play the song. Nancy's intro is killer and I think that Ann's voice is way better than on the studio version. Nancy is also an excellent singer. I would suggest that you listen to 'These Dreams - Live in Seattle'. Nancy is lead on that song and she nails it....again, I think it's better than the studio original. I think that Heart is one of those bands (like Queen) that's better live.
Love from Washington State. I lived in Seattle in 1980s and 90s and The Wilson sisters were such a big influence on the Seattle music scene from Jimi Hendrix in the 60s to the Grunge movement in late 80s and 90s. Such freedom and a fun time seeing so many talented musicians!
Enjoyed your reaction so much. Heart was actually formed in 1963 by lead guitarist Roger Fisher and bassist Steve Fossen. Roger & Steve auditioned Ann Wilson, in 1970, and hired her. They also auditioned Nancy Wilson, in 1974, and hired her. The lyrics to this song were written by Ann and the music was written by Roger & Nancy.
Thanks for doing more Heart, my favorite band, my favorite singer. And from nearby my home area Seattle! Local heros! You gotta do Magic Man next if you are wanting a kick ass electric guitar solo.
If you want to hear Nancy Wilson sing, listen to These Dreams. It's not a 'rocker' like the two Heart songs you've already reacted to. But it's still beautiful. You might also want to consider watching Heart perform live on one of the video reactions. They're fun to watch as well as listen to. Always love your reactions!
Nancy Wilson was voted #2 in best female guitarist of all time. ( Lita Ford being #1.). Ann Wilson has killer vocals with a range that’s crazy off the chain. Nancy is also a great vocalist.
Ann Wilson has one of the iconic voices in rock history. You really, really REALLY need to do Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa doing "I'll Take Care of You" live at The Beacon Theater. Really guys. Please!
Hey it's the Georgia Dudes! Yes Patrick .. George is in love .. George is in love .. hehe. Luv this. Sometimes I smile when I hear this too bc when a southern belle tells u she's gonna go crazy on you .. u'd better run!! 🤪 So know I'm repeating myself but use the link I sent you on instagram for the live vid of Janice Joplin as lead singer with Big brother & the holding company band. Monterey Pop Festival in '67 singing "Ball & Chain". Thnx guys .. b safe & well🤘🏼💞
Great women singers: Linda Ronstadt Selena ( Check out her Disco Medley) Pat Benatar Annie Lennox Joan Jett Tori Amos Your reaction was priceless. George ready to jump out of his seat and Patrick “sounds like Spanish music” what if it was dude? Nancy Wilson is the best female guitarist ever and Ann’s voice is undeniably amazing!
Would love to see you do "Alone" by Heart - the official video. You really get to hear what Ann can do vocally and Nancy is 80's crazy on the guitar. I just think you'd really enjoy it!
Nancy Wilson is a BEAST on guitar. Acoustic AND Electric. But my personal fav from her is when she kills the acoustic. You just have to watch a number of live videos of diff songs and venues to see it to understand. You MUST witness her ripping the acoustic live and Anne belting out strong, kick-ass rock songs by her side. These two women are yet ANOTHER iconic powerhouse from the once unremarkable music city of Seattle.
Finally! Magic Man, Barracuda, White Lightning and Wine, Alone, Straight On, Love Me Like Music, ... Heart is a gold mine. For the kick-ass guitar solo, you want Magic Man. Roger Fisher was their awesome electric guitarist; Nancy played the acoustic-electric parts, including the awesome intro here.
We (my sisters mostly) played the grooves of our Heart albums! I’ve seen them too many times to be accurate but roughly 30 times! The are only one state away from us and all of us Oregonians have been blessed to see them! I remember the first time I saw them here in Medford, Oregon with BTO (I think) They played our Oregon Jam at Autzen Stadium (where the Ducks play) every year! They also play our “Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon the past few years. So great in concert and always out on a great show!
Was lucky enough to see Heart live back in 1982 or 1983 at "Rock-Pop In Concert" at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany. Scorpions, Rainbow and Judas Priest were announced but none of the three attended. Instead we got Saxon, ZZ-Top, Jethro Tull, Heart and Joan Jett. Heart were a nice surprise. Ann Wilson has some of the best pipes in the business. A serious rival to both Floor Jansen and Skin (from Skunk Anansie). Cheers lads. Greetings and well-wishes from Belgium.
One good thing about being old (I'm 51 years) is that I heared this music when it was made. I agree with you guys, good womens voices are rare but the one we know are damn good. Keep the music alive Bro's so I can listen while working home. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Watch the official video of "Alone". You'll really get to see something special. Both sisters showing what they can do! You'll see Nancy going crazy on electric guitar and also playing piano and singing harmony.
Nancy Wilson on the acoustic guitar makes this song. Ann has a great voice, but Nancy is a stellar guitar player and very underrated. She can play all the parts, filling in for lead guitarists over the years.
This came out when I was in high school. Better believe it reminded me of time spent with my first beau! 😹 The sisters balance of talent and that amazing voice!!! Truly.....what's not to like? 😽🎶
What a gorgeous song and what lovely voices they have - I have a song downloaded by Heart - it's called Alone and it's a beautiful song too. They are amazing singers. A female singer I've been listening to recently is Patti Smith - she has a fantastic voice and her first album called Horses was released in 1975. One of my favourite songs is Dancing Barefoot from her 1979 album, Wave. She does a fantastic cover version of Gimme Shelter, the Rolling Stones song - I have the original which is great but this version is worth listening to - it's a real rocker! Also another great song Because the Night written by Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith from her 1978 album Easter. Many thanks for your really interesting reaction, guys. Cheers.
One of the most amazing acoustic intros to a song. This has to my favorite Heart songs, but Magic Man is close behind it, and many others following those two.
My Girls ♥️🔥♥️ Pure Fire 🔥 “Mistral Wind” please 💖💖 I have been trying to get someone to react to this song for 2 years, please be the first ♥️🎶🎸🎤♥️ It’s a beautiful song!!
Mistral Wind was a surprise when I first played the album Dog and Butterfly. The slow gentile track Nada One just finishes and another slow gentile song begins with Mistral Wind - Then ....Omg !
BETH HART - "AM I THE ONE" live at the Paradiso!!!!!! You won't regret it and you will never be the same afterwards! BUT - you GOTTA keep your EYES OPEN so you don't miss her performance.
I grew up on this music in the 70's-80's.I also prefer listening and watching live version from '77 I think, much better when you're eyes can take in the magic also.
I love you guys and your reactions! Heart is amazing; I grew up listening to them and have a real soft spot for "Magic Man" and the softer "Dog and Butterfly"
Beth Hart is one of the great female voices of the modern era. She is a national treasure and should be way bigger than she is. She has such a powerful and versatile voice. She is a true virtuoso. Try “Am I the one” live, it will change your life.
