Unfortunately this is me. Diagnosed with heart failure with fraction of only 25% was told today I will be needing a pacemaker😢 I’m so down and out about this. I’m 45 yrs old and wish there was a way to a avoid inserting a pace maker. I’m so nervous and scared can’t believe I’m going through this. Please everyone take good care of your self and try Not To Stress ! Xo

A pacemaker or an icd? Drugs, diet and exercise everyday, religiously. It takes a while to get all of those in the right amounts but with a bit of perseverance and attention to detail you’ll find a good way forward. Watch your sodium, sugar and meat intake and walk, walk, walk. Best of luck

@@quacker998 Thank you for that. I’ve done my research and all you’ve mentioned is so very true. My only hardest part is getting a move on it such as walking or simply just exercising but reading your message tonight really hit me in a weird way it’s given me the boost to do simply that. Thank you dear friend. Xo

Thank you making this video. I lost my husband on Dec. 11th. Everything you said happened to him. I hold a lot of guilt because I didn't know.

My husband had a heart attack pre-1996, another in 2001, has heart stents in 3 places, has kidney failure, diabetes, left ventricular heart failure, copd, lung cancer (recurrence after 3 year remission) had covid and is still living. He quit smoking 5 years ago, but started smoking again 2 years ago. He's trying to quit again....doing well using Chantix, or something very similar. God is the only one keeping him alive at this point.

Along with diabetes -- our destructive life choices of the habitual ingestion of smoking, alcohol and bad foods have much to do with these dis eases.

This scares me because I was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. They told me with medications I may not have to have a device implanted, not taking things seriously will definitely have you thinking it's the end of the world. I take several meds for HBP and a Blood Thinner I also rest when tired and avoid anything stressful.

I believe it’s stems down to how your ejection fraction is if it’s low such as mlne which is 25% and also feeling dizzy and fainting occasionally may be reason for a pacemaker so that god forbid your heart stops pumping then they pace maker may shock you to regain your beat. Thankfully you not near so take care of yourself from now and maintain lifestyle changes such as dieting,& exercising etc

Thank you for this informative video. Heart disease in general has become a concern of mine because my father died of a heart attack, and I have myself have gained a considerable amount of weight since retiring from the Army. I will definitely be looking for the next video in this series for information on improving my condition....

Excellent as always, when you mention all things heart related, having had a stent at start of April and told ger LDL down to 1.4. so 4 months on dropped weight from BMI of 25 to 23 and avoiding red meat, milk, cheese, ice cream, deli meats. Development of tinnitus , my own reading is it could be due to aspirin, but as its so important after stent, the statin was reduced from 80 to 40 mg. Light headedness after stent and ramipril now reduced down to 1.25 Walking good up to 5 miles n maybe 13000 steps at decent pace of 9.5 min per km ,approx 4mph Still learnt something very new with today's video. EF very interesting I wonder when one is told get LDL down n its already at 0.8, maybe a lecture on diets like Dr Esselstyn's might be a good idea for a future video. Does one have to be ultra strict as no eggs, just glass of red wine a week etc. Does greens and balsamic vinegar help with nitric oxide to heal the endothelial layer. Lightheadedness due to lack of iron another to consideration, notice sometimes in long walk brief lightheadedness. Can one walk too fast

excellent comments Patrick. all changes need to be sustainable. It is common that when significant changes are made to diet and lifestyle, body weight does fall. This itself lowers blood pressure naturally and of course, when you continue the same doses of medicines like ramipril then blood presure will often go lower and cause lightheadedness. We will action your feedback about the dietary changes to consider in an upcoming video.

Hi Mark, I have a comparable experience. Not sure whether these are the acute symptoms. What kind of research did you have? In my case it was an EKG / ECG and Echo (outside of the body). Greetings from the Netherlands

@@crashtestdrummie-nl6411 Hi , I was on Atenolol 50mg twice daily for A/ fib //heart and Dabigatran for blood thinning , very bad side effects , Atenolol causes blackouts with fitting / VERY DANGEROUS PILLS , I had 3 in 4 months while grocery shopping , no warning from doctor even when I told about them. I had never had a blackout or fit , let alone breathing issues .Dabigatran just made me feel ill , I have been off it 5 days and feel so much better , I can think again . I was put on these for A / fib which came on after 2nd covid vax and a bad dose of virus , total loss of mobility due to being almost unable to breath . I had 2 x full heart checks in years prior, lung x-rays etc , all was 100% fine , now I suddenly have severe A/ fib and no air in me . Young nurse watching last ECG etc simply said " WOW , that's different , not seen that before ,," now waiting to speak to doctor about it , nothing is fast here , people die waiting Lol . Am now on metoprolol 50mg , half tab 2 x day , no blackouts and feel much better , but still short of breath . Cheers from Australia .
