so many cool things about this performance: musicianship, vocals, harmony, each player bringin their best, funky chops, unique guitar solo, classic lyrics, lil bit of grunge, funk..all blended here
I remember when I was about 14 back when Comcast had all those music videos and live performances on Ondemand. My dad put this video on and said “I think you’ll be impressed by the guitarist’s playing here.” When it ended I shrugged and said “yeah I guess it’s cool” trying to be the typical teenager. Inside though I was absolutely impressed and the song was stuck in my head for the longest time.
This song gives me the chills… The sisters are amazing together… I’d love to see them if they come to the East coast.I play guitar and my guitar teacher back in the 90’s said “what song do you wanna learn….absolutely no question it was crazy.on you…Nancy’s voice is incredible!!! And Anne’s guitar playing I’m trying to get but it’s not easy… they gotta put out another record/cd and try to write songs like barracuda and crazy on you … if they do they will knock it out of the park!!!! If you guys come to mass…I would love to play barracuda with you (for your practice before a show. Or live I got some fun additions to the song !!! I can do the entire song solos and all
Hi. Back to the previous comment. I think freddi is a fascinating person. But he upsets me .probably more then any other singer. Because so many of his songs are singing about violence.
Another great comment who gets it. As long as Ann and Nancy go out as Heart with a constantly changing cast of musicians, it's not Heart. It's just a cover-band with them leading it. That makes it all the sadder that all the guys from the original band are alive and playing well. The Wilson's for pigheaded reasons don't reunite with them. They know damn well the original band was magic and their egos prevent it.
@@zoso1980 We need the guy (whose name escapes me) who did the Bands Reunited series. If he was able to reunite Scandal after all of the bad blood that went down, I think he could put original Heart back together.
@@summermcpherson8209 He's sloppy and overplays a lot. I'm all for someone making a solo their own but not when it's not well played or doesn't really fit the song. Plus, there's a lot of really cool guitar parts that he just doesn't even attempt to learn or play like the volume swells in Mistral Wind which I think add a lot of atmosphere to the first half of the song or the way the two guitars play off each other during the verses for Kick It Out. Roger Fisher is still the best lead guitarist they've had.
Jeeze. Missing the 'magic' in Magic Man. Call Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, Mike DeRosier and Howard Leese stat! The song just doesn't feel right. Bums me out knowing that magic of the original band is out there - all of them are alive and playing well - and the Wilson's pigheadedly don't bring them back. They'll go from a 1500 seat theatre to 5000+. It'll be pretty damn big and it'll be the real HEART.
She is just singing - not conveying any real emotion. That's why for a very good singer like Ann Wilson this performance falls short. I'm sure this is a difficult song to sing. After all what woman likes to sing a song written about a serious ex boyfriend who dumped them years ago.
