I wish she would make up with her sister. It's not Nancy's fault that she became a blimp, sorry. But her vocals... hell yeah! Get back together girls!!!
I went to an Asia/Lou Gramm concert just before the march 2020 covid lockdown. At 70, Lou Gramm was nearly as good as his heyday. It was my sons 1st concert and he was already a Foreigner fan, but he was blown away by Lou Gramm and his insane voice. If you never heard Lou sing with the originals, listen to his early work. By the way, He was a drummer. Haha
She has always sung from down below even when belting out the higher notes. Gives her a rich, full sound. In her youth, you could barely distinguish changes in register. Awesome performance.
Ann Wilson has a better voice, more range and power than Janice Joplin had. Cass Elliot had as much range, but not the intensity. Grace Slick had the power, but the range. And let us not forget Miss Linda Ronstadt, and Christie McVie (the "heart" of Fleetwood Mac) and Joan Jett and Bonnie Riatt (who sings more blues and Americana than rock). Guess I have dated myself and listed my favorite female rock and blues female singer. Nancy Wilson has beautiful voice and lots of heart and power, and is right up there with Joan Jett and Bonnie Riatt in the top 20 of female guitar players. Each of these beautiful ladies does what they do well. We are blessed to be alive while they did and are doing what they do. RIP Janice and Cass. To all of the rest of you, "Rock on ladies". The world is a better place because of all of you. A special shout out to Linda Ronstadt: You are missed. Parkinson's is a cruel disease.
Ann is on a myriad of medications for Diabetes and Kidney issues. She absolutely cannot help the weight issue. Have a kind heart here. She sounds incredible.
Nancy Wilson has played the intro to this song for 40 years.....no two intros are the same.....what is the same every time is the chill you get when she breaks into the song.....you can't help but play air guitar with her.....mesmerizing.....
Im a drummer and I dont really know how to read music but I learned to play drums from watching my father and Iearn to play songs by essentially air drumming to them lol
Anne’s vocals are some of the highest, most aggressive in rock. The raw power and comfort to hit those notes was a feat in the 70’s, let alone 40 YEARS LATER. Seriously. Not one bit of cheating, not letting the crowd sing, not lowering the song, she has always had IT. Almost seems impossible to sing these songs at this level for so long.
@@william7038 Well Billy they both sold around 35 million albums each so you're ignorance suits you well. Not sure when your birthday is but I suggest asking for a clue because it's obvious you don't have one. 🙏♥️🙏
By the time Taylor swift is in her 60s, she'll be long forgotten. She just doesn't have a voice that stands out. She's nothing special. Just a product manufactured by a big media corporation to make money from people who just consume whatever trash they're presented with.
As a 52 year old black women who didn't know what the concept of race until 5th grade, SWORE Ann & Nancy Wilson were my cousins since my last name is Wilson & the Wilson sister's are some BOSS ASS BROADS! Hence being of my relation!
I remember on the radio as a kid I would hear songs like these and then at the same time hear music like the Michael Jackson or Phill Collins, and still grew during the early days of hip hop (80s and 90s) but enjoyed all kind of music and still listen to groups like Heart to this day because yeah they killed it back then and still are great now!
This freaking performance is ridiculously transcendent. Both of the sisters showed the peak of their talent and skill, and you can see the guys jamming together and grinning from ear to ear because they knew they were on fire that night.
These ladies have kicked ass for over 4 decades and they’re still doing it!! Ann is still hitting those nose bleed notes and Nancy is still a guitar Queen!!
Wake up ladies, that guitar attack in the end with Howard, Roger and Steve hasn't been heard in decades, that's HEART. Bury your hatchets, equal splits, put the band back together and go have fun kicking ass.
The dude (with pin striped shirt) is badass such stage presence. I saw another performance of this with another line up, wasn't as good as this. They should tour with the original members!
and NO AUTOTUNE ... unlike the sisy's of mdoern music who like me couldnt carry a note in a bucket ... heck even the america's got talent female judges that sing use autotune because THEY CANT SING ... here ann and nancy CAN sing ... they are the whole package .. modern singers ... are repackaged rip off artists who steal others songs ... adelle .. hello ... stolen from lionel ritchie ...
Ann Wilson is the absolute best, how is it forty years into her career she sounds better than ever?. Roger Fisher's fingerpicking is beyond great. The whole band is just incredible. Glad to have grown up in Seattle in the 70's with music like this.
These people are incredibly uncomfortable with each other, but the raw emotion/chemistry in this performance is why Heart ever survived in the first place. I get avoiding people you are uncomfortable with but this is the MAGIC of Heart that cannot be duplicated.
These two ladies certainly defined what badass would be for women in rock music. They came early and set the bar ridiculously high. That bar still remains where they placed it. No one has yet to top it. They proved that women can certainly rock as hard as men can.
@@aprilized didn't know saying a lady "aging like fine wine" was considered bad... Pretty sure she got extensive plastic surgery bc she could fuckin afford it... Or maybe you're just mad nobody is saying the same about you. Who knows, but you sound like a twat.
@@aprilized Most women actually age more like milk instead of wine. Very short shelf life. They get surgery to make themselves happy. In this case the surgery didn't help things.
The best female rockers of all time!! Ann Wilson is one of the strongest rock n' roll voices (men included) of all time. No joke!!!! Proud to be from Seattle...Heart and the Seahawks baby!
Then never sounded better! Amazing how when the new group came on stage they couldn't hold a candle to what these guys did with crazy On You! Thanks for actually hearing the truth...
Nancy playing her signature Martin HD-35. Sounds amazing. I've been listening to Heart since I was a kid. I even did a report on them for school. I used the Magazine Album.
Pat benetar ... debbie harry ... shania twain ... avril lavigne ... all match these two in talent and skill ... all different eras ... ok debbie and pat are similar times ...
When I was a teenager in the mid 70's I worked at Cloverdale Paint, the owner of who also owned Mushroom Records. Hanging on the wall outside of the offices were the Gold records for Dreamboat Annie and a couple of the hits off of it. Always loved looking at those Gold records. ✌🇨🇦🎸🎸🎼🎵🎶
How the hell does Roger Fisher still have that much energy in him? Crazy stuff he still shreds and puts on a performance through the whole thing. Highly underrated guitarist imo
You’re right… He rarely gets mentioned when people talk about top and influential guitarists. I’m going to look up what number he was on the Rolling Stone top 100.
🎸Ann thee powerhouse female rocker, soulful from mindblowing scorching to mellow notes yip in the raw form, the line up is amazing as a unit scorching riffs brilliant and sister rock solid when Ann hits turbocharge the passion and emotion and hits supercharge this lady is a superhuman genius stands alone and supreme in this 🌎.world💕💕🎸
You go girl!!! Even though I am a man... it strikes deep in to the woman within me! FYI: I am not gay... but am I not permitted to have these feelings as a heterosexual man?
