Here is Neil Young's classic Heart of Gold on a Brazilian Tiger Wood chromatic autoharp. This wood has a balance across the octaves like that of Cherry, but it adds overtones that Cherry doesn't have. Use high-quality ear phones/buds or good speakers to hear the difference when watching this video. This autoharp has a new chromatic tuning that I developed to get around some of the limitations of the standard chromatic tuning. All the major chords from Eb around the circle of fifths to B sound quite good. One thing I forgot to mention in the video about this is that if you are a melody player it also improves your bass lines, but only if you play with an open hand (i.e. a large pinch when you pinch-pluck).
I forgot to mix the audio down to mono before synching it to the video. I hope that's not too much of a distraction.
