While I fail to see the attraction of killing an animal what never did me any harm, one must give the devil his due. Without controlled, well regulated game hunting, more species would be endangered, the gene pools would be smaller, wilderness areas would be turned over to developers. Also these enterprises generate employment in countries where joblessness is devastating.

No, it is exactly what it is. The point of DG hunting is to get as close as you can to deliver a clean, humane, ethical killing shot without getting yourself stomped on. That is exactly what happened on the video. The hunter did just fine.

You are uninformed. Do some reasearch. This is not poaching this is a legal hunt sanctioned by the Botswana goverment. The had a complete ban oe Elephant hunting for many years and the population exploded to such an extend that they were destroying the entire habitat. Every hunted elephant benifits the local population financially and all the meat goes to thenmas well which in many cases will sustain them for weeks.

Do you know what happens to an elephant after the age of 47? Educate yourself, it's amazing what you can learn.
