0:00 Intro
1:30 Up to 95% of people with cardiac disease are insulin resistant.
4:45 Processed foods and high carbs are the two primary drivers of metabolic disease, the
primary driver of heart disease.
6:53 Insulin resistance damages blood vessels.
11:18 Exercise is indirectly helpful in preventing atherosclerosis.
13:10 The better you can maintain muscle as you age, the better you can deal with the aging
process.
14:30 It is possible to reverse atherosclerosis.
16:30 Tests: coronary artery calcium scan (CAC) and coronary CT angiogram (CCTA).
18:30 People in their 30s and 40s now end up on the cardiac operating table.
20:30 High LDL may not be dangerous in a person who is metabolically healthy.
21:00 The quality of your LDL particles is important.
22:54 90% of adults are metabolically unhealthy, so their high LDL is likely dangerous.
24:05 Statin use for over 10 years increases your risk of developing insulin resistance and
type 2 diabetes, primary drivers of heart disease.
26:30 Inflammation is an important part of the development of heart disease.
27:40 High blood pressure root cause is insulin resistance/metabolic disease.
31:41 Ferritin testing measures total body iron stores. It is also an inflammation marker.
35:50 Linoleic acid LDL oxidation hypothesis
37:30 Plant-based diets
40:25 Lowering your intake of omega 6 improves your omega 3 index.
41:10 Low vitamin D
42:00 Sun exposure has been misunderstood.
44:10 Triglycerides is a higher risk than LDL.
48:30 Bioidentical hormones are superior to synthetic.
50:03 Low testosterone is a risk factor for heart disease.
53:10 Heart surgery does not fix the underlying problem.

I bought this heart surgeons book. It’s excellent. This is the best interview I’ve ever seen on heart disease. My cardiologist just gets irritated when I ask him anything about diet. He just peddles pills. Well I’m doing a carnivore diet and it’s cleared up my diverticulosis. Skin tags disappearing. Sinus and allergy issues. Snoring. Sleep apnea. High Blood pressure. Psoriasis. Eye floaters. IBS. All gone Within the first month. Insulin resistance and pre diabetes will all be gone soon. Ive lost weight. Im Hoping to be off my BP meds soon.

I would like to know exactly what your eating, please. I need encouragement to keep going with carnivore. I do know that after two months of carnivore I quit having diarrhea. So I had a gut problem. Since after having COVID and fatigue the whole month of January and working I gradually slid off carnivore. I'm getting back on. I have only retained a 10 pound weight loss. Weight wasn't my prime concern but I do have 25 more lbs. to lose. I've already increased my walking so that should help. I'm 71 yrs. Thx!

Based on my statistical research when I worked for the drug companies I refused to take Statins. My doctors kept telling me I would die. They wrote on my medical record that I was insane. I will be 80 in August and enjoy cooking and walking. I take lessons in German over the internet every day and have increased my vocabulary. So life without statins has been good. Medicare insurance requires that I see my doctor once a year or else I would not have gone to see them. That being said professional medical advice has helped me e.g. my brother said he and the other airline pilots he knew as a pilot himself all recovered from insulin resistance after reading Protein Power by Dr. Eades and so did I. Likewise my years of painful cramps ended when I took magnesium recommended by Dr. Ken Berry also on the internet. I am trying to join and subscribe to some of the online doctors but for some strange reason some of the subscriptions are easy to get and others are not. ..... Weren't we all told that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound. of cure. Actually I think it is a ton of cure that our country needs. LOL The only year I got the Flu (including Covid) was the year I let my doctor talk me into getting a vaccine. I guess that is because I am strick about avoiding sugar and flour since reading Dr.. Eades.

I started whole food plant based about 10 years ago along with B12 and D3 K2 supplements. I dropped 120 pounds painlessly and standard metabolic panel tests improved dramatically. I hear the same from people on carnivore. Becoming increasingly convinced that processed food is at the core of most health issues.

That is great, but I do plant based organic mainly & I have a very high calcium score. 1,000 to B exact! I also take B12,Vit D sometimes since mine is high 66 & I take many other supplements as I can afford to. Could not do the carnivore diet because of how animals R raised & the fact that U gotta kill them to eat them. Bothers me still. Also meat is ever so expensive. Way out of my budget! So those R 2 reasons I eat as I do, but I have 70 to 75 % carotid blocked artery & 50% on the other 1. So I am guessing it must B something else making my calcium so high. I take various mags. also. Could B having eaten cheese as 1 protein source. Not sure, but I am facing a serious blockage now. I do not know of any real way to get rid of plaque except a surgery. Very scary to say the least!

It is so difficult to find stuff to eat. I have not been eating dead animals, but am thinking I may have to eat the least expensive dead animal meats so I can get protein outside nuts & cheese!! Happy for you. However my experience (and my wife) was that traditional food pyramid diet and vegetarian diet as problems worsened, it did not help. Went Keto and a huge improvement. Toyed with carnivore (which to us seemed stupid) but surprisingly found it was fine - think it as excellent elimination diet. But decided to use Keto. I have no problem eating meat, every living thing on this planet serves as food for others. Living in the country I know nature does not give a stuff about how things die.

@@colpin99- statins? Why, why, why? Making the numbers behave doesn't make you healthy. You're shutting off your bodies repair mechanism. Darko Vlček made a very good point when he said that the lab numbers of "glucoholics" aren't necessarily normal or healthy, and that LDL is not the evil monster made out by the medical system. When you eat carnivore, you need more bile to process the fat. The body produces more LDL to make bile. We also need cholesterol to form vitamin D and other hormones, and to rebuild cell walls. Doctors need to stop prescribing statins as a heart healthy intervention.
@alwaysright5901
@alwaysright5901 3 месяца назад
I understand what you mean. It's so very scary in the medical industry as docs are taught to do no harm but are steered to make money by following the standard of care protocol for every disease. Insurance companies play a big role too since they don't authorize payment for alternative, natural or holistic care. The "keep them sick so they come back" model is their money maker. Curing someone from the root cause doesn't make money. You're your own best advocate. The hospital emergency room should only be used for emergencies only (heart attack, stroke, unbearable pain, broken bones, etc). I only use conventional docs for testing as a prescription is needed for an ultrasound, etc. I take their advice with a grain of salt, do my own research and use my own discernment. After the last 2-3 years, the medical industry has shown their true colors and I don't trust them at all. Keto, ketovore and carnivore are best for health, especially the heart but it must be full time for life. Sugar and high refined carbs don't mix with good fat and grass fed/wild caught protein. Do your own research. Dr. Berg is a chiropractor but is a wealth of info along with keto and every other ailment you want info on. Dr. Darren Schmidt is located in Michigan and can see patients remotely but have 3 day travel packages for a visit. He's got this uncanny way of connecting the dots on root causes and has been very successful, especially with the heart. He does carnivore and Berg does keto. Check them out, both are on RU-vid! Dr. Pradeep Jamnadas is a medical cardiologist in Florida and supports the non-conventional mindset and more holistic. He's on RU-vid as well and sees patients. Time to fire your conventional docs and use docs that have your health interest in mind.

I believe exercise IS helpful, because if you do pumping exercises you are working your blood vessels, veins, capillaries. You increase blood flow throughout your body. Your body will adjust and adapt by improving the pipeline and may even build new to deal with it. However exercise does NOT replace the need for a good diet. It IS helpful and will improve upon a good diet

Great video, I just had a CAC score for the first time (age 69) and I had to ask my pcp to refer me for it! It was 60, but I thought it was going to be higher since my previous decades in the 30's, 40's, 50 's of low fat, low calories, and processed food etc. (Now last 3 years, keto, ketovore and carnivore, and IF) CAC 60 score is considered mild heart disease. But radiologist did find a spot on my liver, and lungs and an ascending aorta aneurysm. (the liver spot, and lung spot already nullified from a previous ultrasound in 2021, so aok there) But my pcp still wants me on a statin since my LDL is high (TC 323) BUT low triglycerides (87) and high HDL (91), Again I had to on my own get an NMR cholesterol particle blood panel test, that showed all my LDL is fluffy, and even my HDL is large. Still, that does not imply that this is the best one can do) #5: This one you will hate to hear: Carnivore is for lazy people. Weve found that one can lose weight while getting no exercise with this. No matter what you may eat, a sedentary lifestyle is a disaster for your health. Just one effect is that you are going to have very sluggish mitochondria, and that is a factor in all disease. At the start of our low carb fasting journey, my wife's plaque score was 24. About 2 years later, her score was now 21. @@vcash1112 Here in Texas we have a medical facility called VisScan. They have different types of scans but the one we do involves the circulatory system of the neck and body cavity. Based on the calcium deposits, it will calculate the score. Cancer also shows up in the scan. My score was zero but with our first scan (they were having a 2 of 1 sale) the wife's score was 24. So after about two years of low carb, intermittent fasting (skip breakfast or dinner), some OMAD's and extended fasts, the next time she was scanned, her score was 21. I was not allowed to be scanned again in such a short period because my score was zero. Prior to this, we ate like most people. Too much rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, etc. I'm more active then my wife. She's like most women, lazy about exercise. About once a week I do weight training (HIT) and about once a week I cardio in the form of HIIT training. The main reason for starting low carb/fasting was to reverse my high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and loose weight which it did. I went from 235lb to 170 in about 4 /5 months or so. The type 2 diabetes resolved itself immediately but took longer for my blood pressure to normalize. Does that answer your question?

Calcium shows up as white in the images. Cancer also shows up. Since my score was zero, I have to want 5 years to do another scan. My wife could get another one in two years. So in about two years when there was another sale, got her scanned again and her calcium score dropped to 21. The hope is to slow the rate of increase but to reduce the number is pretty amazing. We started low carb/fasting to solve my type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. The type 2 diabetes resolved itself almost immediately. It took longer for the high blood pressure to come down to normal. My going back to the gym I believe also helped to bring down the high blood pressure. I'm no longer on any meds. I would like more details if you could on what you might have done besides just carnivore. I’m 65 with a cac in the second quintile. 7 weeks carnivore. My ldl shot up to 338 (lmhr?) - it was normal prior to going zero carb. Lost 20 lbs and my bmi is 22 - I was in decent shape going into this but with lots of inflammation. My family is in total freak out. My doc has scheduled more testing, including a ct angiogram which I requested as a baseline.
@s7r49
@s7r49 3 месяца назад
@@johnk6578 You know its hard to say, but I suspect if the CAC is bad after only 7 weeks it was already bad. I will say this. My LDL and HDL both shot up when I started carnivore, I lost weight for 5-6 months before I stabilized. After that my LDL went down a lot and my HDL went down a little. So overall in terms of those two, my total cholesterol was a little higher on carnivore but my ratio of good/bad was improved. My triglycerides went down substantially pretty much the whole time though. My suspicion was that when I was losing weight, all that fat being mobilized / removed was causing my cholesterol to spike a lot and when it stabilized it improved. but I dont know for sure. it is scary... the diet is kind of a leap of faith in that regard. I was in my early 30's when I started carnivore (I'm 42 now and have had some breaks here and there esp during isolation). I luckily didn't have to worry so much about being wrong about the diet at that age. Now its a bit of a worry. I'm getting older, but my CAC and triglycerides are still stellar. my cholesterol ratio is good and my total cholesterol is only a tad high. my inflammation is down a lot in terms of CRP, ESR and Calprotectin markers. I'm sorry I can't give you more confidence, I've watched many of bart kays videos on cholesterol and those sorts of things but its still a scary thing to go into a meat diet with some arterial clogging going on. I honestly don't know. Besides cardio. I've heard that yoga can increase arterial and vein elasticity thus improving cardiovascular health. Although I haven't read any studies to back that up as I stretch daily anyway to maintain my range of motion. Hope you find the answer !

I am 71, and took Berberine HCL, 1200mg BID, for over a year and it did NOT lower daily BG or A1c. But I suspect it did raise liver enzymes (AST/ALT) significantly, so recently stopped it, now waiting a few months to have labs drawn to confirm my suspicion. I am in the 7th year of major dietary changes; began with KETO, then Ketovoir, now Carnivore 3+ years, and doing IF for 6+ years. I've also had frequent labs at LabCorp, in addition to the standard ones my doc orders semi-annually. I lost 65+ pounds in the first six months of this venture, and keeping it off is easy, I actually had to focus on regaining a few pounds since, at 157, I was beginning to look frail and losing muscular strength. Btw, my A1c ranges 5.1 - 5.4, and my CAC score, a few years ago, was 16 on a 0-600 scale. Six years ago, an ultrasound of carotid arteries revealed moderate blockage, but 2-3 years later it was normal. Thanks for this excellent video!

Thank the Tories and the US medical companies that have been paying them to defund the NHS for years.

Wonderful video!!!! I sent it to several people. Dr. Ovadio is a hero for telling the truth and you are terrific for diving into these topics like you do and bringing VERY important news to us "regular" people. I didn't know you can get an MRI for FAT info! SO revealing to do that. And I just ordered the Berberine product. Thank you MYOXCIENCE .

I'm confused about what he said about polyunsaturated fatty acid. Reducing them was linked to reducing sun sensitivity? I thought these were healthy fats. Can you clarify?

@@got2kittys Thanks now it is readable. I think I had 4jabs, working in a nursing home, required. Now nobody who works there is getting jabbed. In spite of the J's, I still got covid 2x, but very mild because of my daily d3. I think the vitD also prevented complications from being jabby.

still less than the risk caused by covid19. So that doesn't make sense

@@ayeyebrazorf7527Not true. The virus has the spike only. The jab has the spike, PEG, Pseudo Uridine, mRNA, and LNP's.

@@ayeyebrazorf7527 well you can keep getting jabbed. You can have mine too. Be a good little sheep and do whatever Pfizer tells you. I'll rest assured knowing I'm a Pureblood.

@ayeyebrazorf7527 less than the risk in young healthy people?? Maybe worth the risk for what it was promised for older people with health problems. Not 16 year old healthy kids.
