An evolution in preoperative surgical planning is reality at Henry Ford Hospital. Heart valve replacement is safer and more accurate for everyone in need of a new valve by using Computer Aided Design and 3D Printing technology at the Henry Ford Innovation Institute. Physicians are working with Industrial Designers to virtually test fit the prosthetic valves in the best case scenario based on each patients unique anatomy.

Amazing what 'Science' has done to invent this 3D - I once road in a CAR made by 3D imprinting @ the Detroit Auto Show (Y) I'm guessing the auto companies had a lot to do with THIS also; since GM & Dr. Forrest Dodrill MD of Harper Hosp.designed & invented the very FIRST Heart Lung pump for cardiac surgery in 1952 and it IS still on display in Harper Hosp. Lobby and LOOKS just like a car engine - complete with a 'piston'. WOW My mother & cousin were one of the firsts to use in in their surgeries in 1954. 9-10-24

Is there Nickel in the metal noted on the valve? Is Pig valve still available?
