Oh hell no. It's 11:49pm for me right now and I ain't trying to get spooked into not sleeping. I haven't gotten to the part with his singing yet but I think I'll do that tomorrow during daytime.
@@beware983 It’s farrr and I mean FARRRR more pleasant than It’s Just A Burning Memory. All beats are still there, the melody is entirely intact, the song doesn’t repeat at all, and the lyrics are still there. Only reverb and slowness is added unlike It’s Just A Burning Memory where these things are either missing or messed with.
This sounds like the end of a horror movie when everybody in the house dies and this music plays towards the credits omfg 1k likes!!!1!!1!1 *Insert cringy thank you edit*
Heartaches, heartaches My loving you meant only heartaches Your kiss was such a sacred thing to me I can't believe it's just a burning memory Heartaches, heartaches What does it matter how my heart breaks? I should be happy with someone new But my heart aches for you

This reminds me of my grandfather on my dad's side. He was born in the 30s and often plays music like this on his radio.. It makes me feel really sad though knowing that he could soon pass away due to his age. He's such a kind and warm hearted man who shares many of his life stories with me and my dad loves him so much and raised him to be calm and kind and a great father. I love you grampy :)
“This song sounds familiar..” “It feels familiar” “Have I heard it before?” “I dont know” “What was I talking about?” “I guess its just a burning memory”
Yeah, I once heard the story of a commenter who’s best friend got it at around that age. Quite a sad story, but I wish I could find it again. It was in the original full EATEOT albums

A mi
When the song ends, the burning ends too? you were born to die in the end you were loved to be hated in the end you were lived to be everyone's side story character you were made to pass the live you were given you were liked to be forgotten you are nothing that is just a memory to disappear...
I just saw this video with nostalgic pictures of random places with this song playing, and me and my grandpa were trying to figure out what the song was called, it took us months to figure out what it was called and then we found "it's just a burning memory" so we thought that was the original song. And then I did some more research and found out it was called "heartaches" and now we listen to it a lot because it's a very great tune. I love you grandpa!
WHY WHENEVER I TRY TO READ COMMENTS OF MUSIC I ALWAYS FIND "RANBOO RANBOO RANBOO" AND NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL SONG LIKE I WAS JUST ON FALLEN DOWN SLOWED DOWN LIKE SERIOUSLY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This is cool, it definitely highlights how he did more than just slow down the music and add reverb. This song will forever be haunted to me, even when I hear the original.
If I ever get diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimers legit just put me down, if I’m going to die I’d rather be when I still remember my family and the majority of my life (if I still do). I don’t think I could ever fathom years sitting in bed as a endless, husk of a empty shell of my former self asking constantly what time does my college classes start. I don’t think anyone can.
I feel somewhat similar to you, but I’m Christian, and I believe that somehow, dementia fits into the picture of God’s plan. I'm not convincing you, but I'm just giving you my point of view, and even if you're an atheist, terminal lucidity could be the silver lining. I know it is for me. But hey, that's just a theory! *A MIND THEORY-*

this is one of my favorite songs in the caretaker's album, I don't know why but it is a bop :) I found the album a few years ago but now I'm drawn back to this. again. lol
@@Gilgamesh54 he's referring to the song made by the Caretaker, "It's Just A Burning Memory" which is part of his album, "Everywhere At The End of Time". So yes, the song featured in the video is Heartaches by Al Bowlly slowed and with reverb, but the original song is the inspiration for It's Just A Burning Memory.
When I listen to this, it reminds me of the times when I was with my late grandmother back in 2004. It was the best memories and I was 16 and everyone was still alive
I never knew that “It’s Just A Burning Memory” & “And Heart Breaks” came from the same slowed and reverbed recording of the same song (I knew both were from the same version, just from different reverbs and slowing tempos)

If anyone has parents that were born and used records and still used them when you were growing up becuase it was something ancient to you, it felt like this, just a nice place to be. I miss my father, he grew up using these and used them to let me listen to something of the past around christmas, we had a fireplace and i was so relaxed to hear such noises trying to imagine him like me, sitting on the couch remembering things yet you were young. Its a nice warm feeling.
Eyo this song was actually used in an album called "Everywhere at the end of time" (EATEOT for short) which is an album about dementia. The first song, "It's just a burning memory" is this song but without the lyrics. I recommend you check it out, it's a good album!
@@astrainspace dont forget that the song is actually a song about Alzheimer’s, not usual dementia and thats because like the terminal lucidity thing at the end of the album
