Super Mario Land 2: Six Levels of Dementia
This is the most blursed thing i've done by a long shot.
I made this custom remix as a coping mechanism after discovering EATEOT (Spoiler: it's literally heartbreaking) so hope this helps.

I want to do that with Mario 3D World's ost. I'll never forget hearing the champions road theme for the first time, the joy I felt when I realized it was a remix of gusty garden. It's a feeling I've never been able to recreate.

Wario lands theme is a remix of the song Beautiful Dreamer. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mario Land 2 athletic theme sounding like heartache was intentional.

Man after listening to this and researching the James Leyland song you remixed it from now I get what it was about. Its a Psychological Horror Album that explains what it is like to have Dimensia. What you did with this remix kinda sounds like an understanding of the Slide song with SML2 and mixed it with the 1920s and stated in this song that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you are NOT ALONE.

I actually played mario land 2 a lot when i was younger, i stopped for around 4 years before coming back to the game. Replaying it and trying to remember all the levels was like a person diagnosed with dementia trying to remember their family members. Though it was a lot more fun than being diagnosed with dementia.

I'm just finding this now after making the mario 2 connection YEARS after hearing the original song and then forgetting the name when everyone was spamming the "dementia remix" of it a while ago. Glad I looked it up on a whim and found this. It follows the same structure as a lot of mario music and I'm fairly certain it had to have had some HEAVY inspiration in mario land 2's OST
