This is our cover of Heartbreaker & Living Loving Maid from Led Zeppelin II.
On these 2 songs, we're joined by special guest Matt Beck!
Ann Marie Nacchio - Lead Vocals
Matt Beck - Guitar, Vocals
Andy Graziano - Guitar, Vocals
Richie Castellano - Bass, Vocals
Andy Ascolese - Drums
Geek Speak:
The drum set is a Roland TD-11 triggering FXPansion BFD 3 using one of their Ludwig kits. The hi-hat is also triggering the shaker.
Bass was recorded direct into a Vintech Preamp then using CLA Bass to get the overdrive.
The guitars are both recorded direct and using Line 6 Helix for amp sims.
The vocals are all recorded with Audio Technica microphones.
We use Audio Technica headphones for monitoring. The MOTU 1248 gives us our own discrete mixes.
We shot this using Zoom Q2n cameras.

that lefty guitar player nailed the Hearbreaker solo in all of it amazing sloppy groove mojo vibe and that's not easy to do at all, and with the guitar strung upside down, just amazing.

It is lefty guitar and it it's actually strung upside down, if you look closely you can see the high E string is at the top of the neck, and he bends down most of the time@@robsavage9440

Do we know that he’s a lefty? The only other person I know of who plays an upside down strung instrument lefty is Mononeon, and he’s a righty who just learned that way.

Jesus I never realized JPJ played the bass like that on Heartbreaker. Christ and I was in a band that covered it when I was 14. Clearly we played it wrong (or our bassist did anyway lol).

@@demonhoopa Listen to the original and only focus on the bass. Most focus on vocal and guitar. I know I did for years. Beware - you may need to re-adjust your view that Squire, Entwistle and Wetton were the only superior bass players during the late 60s/early 70s. Actually, none could touch Mingus, but that's a story for another day :)

From my 40+ years i've could tell :"good boy" - but compared to the song itself WE BOTH younger than wearers of diapers - only our ages combined may reach that some kind of "critisizing allowance" age - we are a kids of a kids that grew on this music - that's how refined this music is !

Correct, you don't see that very often. Albert King as a lefty used to play a right handed Flying V with the strings upside down, but he was the only big time guitar player that I can recall playing upside down strings.

So happy for the new installment! So much fire! So glad to see AMN killin' the vocals again. The 'tik-tok jump' guitar switch was smooth as hell, the bass tone was amazing, and Richie's 'stank face' while watching the solo in Heartbreaker was what we have needed and hoped for in a triumphant return! Matt was right on in Heartbreaker, Andy G rocking the double neck, and making it look easy, and, of course, Andy A pulling everyone in tight on the drums (Yeah, I know they all have click track in their ears), making that little set sound as big as Bonzo himself!

I auditioned for a LZ cover band when I was still on active duty and this was the first song we started with. Admittedly, I didn't learn the exact solo yet, needless to say the audition ended after that. LOL I was pretty bummed for a while as Zeppelin is my favorite band.
