I agree. However, in my mind - - I’d like to think that in the photo being shown at 27:25 - - Adam’s dad was holding a piping hot caffeinated beverage in his hand. 😃 Great father and son energy. ☀️
@@JWWOnTheMove you made this trip so much fun to watch. My favorite part was at the end when you thanked God and acknowledged your son's dedication to his craft. My father is gone to be with the Lord. You helped me remember how much I love him. Thank you.
@@greyeaglem right??? I know it’s hard because they’re traveling and Adam is in between homes, but I feel like they should’ve had a piece of it for sure!
"Daree Queen" 😂😂😂 your dad is hilarious, you have to team up more with your dad Adam, that man has stories that need to be told lol x Thankyou Adam and Jim x
I LOVE this series! I cannot emphasize that enough. I will truly miss you two traveling together. Thanks for making these videos and sharing your story. I wish these videos would continue.
Never knew my father growing up, he left when I was little. Pack of smokes deal. You know how some dads are, can never find them! But I’m really happy watching these videos man. You and your father make me smile, a lot. Thanks for that gift.
I was raised by my grandmother (mother's mom). My dad had the opportunity to be in my life but always made excuses about having to make sure it was ok with his gf before i could visit. Watching these videos inspires me to be the father i never had if i ever have children.
Your father sounds like a stand up guy. Sometimes you look at a baby and think "This isn't for me." and just leave it to someone else while you live your life as you originally wanted. I can respect that greatly.
Adam so wise of your Dad to have taken so many pictures back in the day. The young people today would find it hard to believe, but most only took pictures on special occasions.
"Splat" , made me burst out in laughter! Being a PK myself, I understand why you moved around so much. Guys, I'm really loving this series. Thanks so much.
Back to the Future I'd say. This road trip is probably my favorite, going back to memory lane, visiting previous home and recalling those fond good times with your family. This is probably the greatest gifts from Adam to his mom and dad, and a very personal sharing to the rest of the world.
I'm so happy for you are able to do things with your dad! My dad passed away in 2017. I'm not allowed to do anything with him in person anymore but he spends a lot of time with me in spirit I wish I could go on a road trip and just enjoy it with him as you are with your dad that's the ultimate Father's Day what a road trip!
This video was very cool to see; Adam & his dad on this road trip together. Sorry to hear that your dad passed away in 2017, my Dad sadly passed away in 2018 & I still miss him very much even to this day. 😥 While watching all these videos of Adam & his dad on their road trip makes me wish my dad was still here with me in person so I could hang out with him. But I know he is with me in spirit & is watching me everyday up in heaven.
Adam we have a lot in common - a great Dad, a lot of moves, including in the midwest, and a love of history. I am just delighted with this series and for the opportunity that you had to share the adventure with your dad.
Hi Adam. I have been following your channels for many years now in its many and varied incantations and you are always good value and watchable . However, I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed this current series with your Dad. I have genuinely been moved by your shared interactions and the loving experience of your entwined family years. i am late sixties now and my Dad was taken from us way too soon at 54 years old. I would have loved to had had such a travel experience with him had he lived his 'three score years and ten'. Thank you both for sharing those treasured personal memories. I would also have loved to have heard your Dad preach. He has an obvious good soul and his integrity is there for all to see. All good wishes and thanks to you both. Kind regards and god bless from Paul
I love this series and the stories but, it makes me wonder with all of your moving and usually not staying in one place for more than a few years if that's why you have wanderlust so to speak. I love your travels and adventures and just want you to have as much happiness as you bring to others. :)
I lived in Evanston, Illinois from 1979-1985 so spent my very early childhood years there. My mom always talks for the blizzard of ‘78 when she was pregnant with me. The pics I have are unreal!
That bad snow storm made it’s way all the way to western Ky. I remember missing so much school then...we were ready to go back to school! I was in high school then. We have pictures of snow drifts that were taller than we were...thankful we haven’t had that much snow again.
@@cherylluigs8984 my mom told me the garbage couldn’t be collected for awhile and the rats ran rampant in the cities 😖 we also had some in our basement, just awful for a ton of people!
Wow, you've lived in many different places and took lots of pictures growing up Adam. It explains perfectly your documented itinerant lifestyle. Looking forward to the remainder of your trip! 27:31 You (now) look just like your dad (then) in this picture Adam.
Gotta agree that all the moving may be the reason Adam is comfortable in a transient lifestyle. Sister, Faith, however, seems to enjoy making Ind. her home. All in all their love holds them together.
This has been the best thing I've ever watched. I broke my ankle in 6 places and stuck on my couch. Thank you for getting me through it with theese videos
It sure is. Same here - 23 yrs ago. I had Mississippi/Louisiana preachers on mom's side, Grandpa & the uncles - many a church service was attended over vacation. Still recall day Dad's bicycling instruction finally took; well, nearly. Fine-tuning always helps. Gravel? Not so much. No pics of act, just after fact. In our yard, I was straddling an old 50's adult bike when I lost balance, falling off & hitting the ground. One pic reveals a grimace: I know I'm going down, but can't stop momentum. Next is bike & I on the grass, me still gripping handlebars, grinning, embarrassed yet triumphant. Shortly prior to Dad's passing, we conducted a mini-road-trip w/my son of places we'd lived in/around town when I was growing up, when my dad was a youth, & when my son was pre-K age - taking a few pix, reminiscing on earlier, healthier times & hoping to leave more good memories for him to hold before his grandpa was gone. Final shot = sunset behind farm fence, son balanced on gate, pretending to hold back sun or balancing it in his hand. This would be our last time taking an extended country drive as fam together. S'why I enjoy 'Tube-tripping w/The Woos. I identify & appreciate the post & its sentiment.
Did I mention how I love your dad? Cherish these times with all your heart. I hope he’s on a lot more when your road trip is over, because I’m going to miss seeing him everyday! He’s just awesome!
I am very jealous of you these last few days getting to spend time with your Dad like this is to awesome. My father past many years ago when I was 12. I am 55 now. Never new him really. Enjoy every moment. thank you for this series.
Keep those memories and your father son trip close to your heart, my friend. This video will mean so much to you as time passes. It will become a precious keepsake.
This series with your dad is the best series you have ever done. You don't see many father son relationships anymore as good as yours, you seem to have a blast together. Absolutely love these!
Flying Sauer Stories& Old Railings from the Old 🏡 Homestead and more you're all so Original.....reminds me of our Family....Luv you're Show more and more.... You're Father and Son Trip is so real.......A Great Twist Treat from all your Other Shows.Thank You !!!
my uncle was /is a Baptist preacher and they moved a lot like y'all did. Me ive lived in the same place for 44 yrs give or take a yr or two here and there.
Enjoying the road trip with you and your Dad from Virginia. I will always treasure the trip I took with my Dad and eating and chatting with Alan Hale at his restaurant. I think this is wonderful that you're creating memories with your Dad.
These videos have been so much fun to watch! Both of my parents were gone by the time I hit 22. Cherish these times. You have been given a gift that not everyone has had the opportunity to have. With that being said, I appreciate riding along with you as you visit and reminisce. Truly an enjoyable trip.
I am going to miss this series with your dad when it ends. Love all the stories from both of you. You are so much like your dad. I have many distant relatives from LeRoy to Sesser to Herrin over to Royalton Illinois from my dads side who has since passed 18 years ago...would love to see a few of them and meet a few of them. Did you and your dad run into anyone in any of the towns that you once knew ? Great son great father great memories great fun. The way both of you truly listen and respect each other as father and son is wonderful.Thank you for taking us along down memory lane.
Hello from Le Roy....back to living here where I was born and was a member of the Le Roy Christian Church along with my Grandma Lola, (that was at the Christian Church "every Sunday") when your dad was here. Now back living in Le Roy after 20 years living in Branson, Mo. Just a side note: I am the one that painted the wall mural next to the church with the Selz Shoes. Wish I knew you was coming to Le Roy. Would have loved to seen and chatted with you both. Maybe next trip. Keep up the good work and blessings to the both of you for what you are doing. Safe travels.
Timing is everything sometimes! One more week or so and you would have missed the railing. Glad you all could see it! Sounds this town is where we get the beginnings of the infamous bike slide stunt. Combination of learning to ride a bike and the bean bag on the stairs!
A few years ago my sister stopped by what used to be the family farm. She was telling her husband about it and how she remembered the pump in the yard. The farmer said he had just taken it out and that she could have it if she wanted. She said she wanted it but had no idea what she would do with it. They still moved around a lot at that time because of work, but if that happened now she could use it for a garden ornament.
I have really enjoyed the trip with your father. My father was also a minister and l can’t relate to the hometown comment. We moved a lot as well. My dad dressed just like your Dad when he retired. I think he had the same jacket and black shoes. As a preacher’s kid that moved frequently, you have a close relationship with your parents and siblings. They were your only friends when you moved to a new town. I love the relationship of you and your father. My husband tried to get me to do exactly what you are doing, but I never found the time. After watching this series, I wish I had. Dad passed in 2015, Cherish your time. You have created a wonderful memory. P.s. I think preacher kids should have their own club.
Adam, you look like your dad. Except you have your mom’s nose. It’s great to see your dad and you getting a chance to do this. Keep having fun my friend.
Enjoying this series so much. And seeing that sledding photo reminded me of how we used to slide down the embankment of I-4 at Par Ave on cardboard. I would have never remembered that.
I love this! God is truly blessing you and your dad with this trip. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with all of us! ♥️ PS your dad reminds me of Johnathon Winters 😂😂😂👍🏼 so funny, genuine and heart felt especially yesterday at the Field of Dreams and you both tossing the ball around. And the day where your pushing your dad on the merry-go-round by the pool where he grew up, then the next day he pushes you on one- all priceless, Praise Jesus❣️
The Dairy Queen joke was so funny! Also loved at the end when you did the European Vacation line "Look, kids...Big Ben...Parlement) LOL. I love that you and your dad talk in Movie quotes.
I grew up here in the 50s and 60s And have visited with my own family a few times in better weather. I have always felt fortunate and grateful that my dad didn't take that higher paying job in Chicago. LeRoy, both pronunciations: archaic formal French and Illinois Hick, will always be my home town.
Native “LeRoyan” here. Cute video of you reminiscing in my hometown. My family goes back many generations there. Adam, we must’ve gone to school and church together, we’re close to the same age I believe. The building on the circle is The Band Stand. That isn’t city hall next to the old church any longer but it’s still a city building. The pool is new and it is a gymnasium in that large building next to it. I remember the snowstorm of 78. It was a doozy! Wonderful watching the 2 of you.
HEY ATW...SORRY IM LATE again. Up at an odd hour sick. Tell your Dad the Dairy Queen joke made my whole day. Laughter is truly the best medicine! Thanks guys!
How very nice of the house owner to let you come in. That is a great looking house and nice to see it being fixed up. All the houses in that area look great as does the downtown area. Interestingly Google street view hardly has anything mapped for the little guy to stand in in Le Roy! Loved the UFO story and the Diary Queen joke.
I didn’t know we were neighbors at one time! I’m in Washington, not too far from Bloomington, a little closer to Peoria. I loved hearing your dad talk about the snow. :) He’s a doll! I love seeing your Disney and travel recordings, but today’s made me smile a little bigger.
You really favor your dad in the picture he showed. My beloved church growing up in Atlanta was knocked down for condos. Infuriated me when I heard of this. THey would make no comment on what would happen to the cemetery. Some teachers and high school friends are at rest there.NIce guy to let you inside of your old home. Great video.
Barbara White , when did you live in Atlanta? My mother was raised up in Atlanta. My grandparent's lived in Gresham Park. That was back in the 50's and 60's though.
@@bonniebrown6960 Hello, moved there in 3rd grade (1956) and stayed there until 1968. I went to North Fulton HS in Buckhead, Still have great friendships with friends there. My church was Rock Springs Presbyterian . Nice to meet you Bonnie.

Hi Adam, thank you for another great video👍 the planning for this trip must have been very extensive. It’s amazing that you both remember so much from all those years ago! 😊
Le Roy is still a nice little town. Loving each day of your father-son trip and hearing the stories and seeing the pictures from your childhood. Love seeing you and your dad have so much fun on this trip. You are a good, loving, respectful son to your parents, Adam. Y’all stay safe. God bless you both
These videos with dad have been so enjoyable. I literally love them. Wish I had done that with my dad. Memories you’ll never forget. I love when you’re on the road, I don’t watch the Disney stuff anymore but love your road trips!
"Nothing good happens after Midnight" my grandmother would always say that added to the mystique of late night Midnight - was always "Monster time" or the Witching Hour in my mind as a small child too...that is too funny!
Living in Illinois I can Relate to all of the stories involving snow. I have constructed my fare share of snowmen and have went sledding almost every year since I was about 2. This road trip especially this video has brought back lots of good childhood memories. Thank you Adam and Adam's dad.
Never knew you lived in Illinois. Very cool knowing you once lived in my home state. Also, love how much you guys have been quoting from Blazing Saddles and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
