For anyone curious about the odds of Avenging Wrath killing the Lotus Agents btw, it was a 219/256 to kill or a ~86% chance, so Trump's ballpark was spot on

Real-talk? I feel that's why Dinosize should be considered as a one-off in Midrange Paladin. An 8-mana Pyroblast that is at worst a 10-mana 10/10 in a deck that often pressures the opponent because they can go face because of taunts seems preeeeetty good.

It's never an 8-mana-do-nothing due to Paladin's hero power. At it's worst it's a 10 mana 10/10, which isn't great but also isn't "nothing".

I too am guilty of making Trump trades with great frequency. It's lost me some games when I couldn't close out a game because I engaged in a value war I couldn't win instead of pushing an initial advantage for the damage needed to keep them from playing a value game.

I had a draft with two vinecleavers, two Sunkeepers (legendary dude), 7 mana 5/6 that gives a minion in your hand +5/+5. I went from 1-2 to 9-3, absolutely insane deck. It was close to being constructed quality good, only thing it lacked was card draw and board clear.

Trying to math out the odds myself. I know a tree diagram is possible but is there a nice concise way to calculate this? Hits on the minion need to be 3 but there's 8 chances to do it. 2 targets is 50% for the desired target. 2^8=256 1) 1/2 hit(x): 1,0 2) 1/4 xx, 1/4 x: 1,0,0,1 3) 1/8 xxx, 3/8 xx, 3/8 x: 3,2,2,1,2,1,1,0 4) 7/16,4/16,4/16: 33, 3 3, 3 2, 2 1, 3 3, 2 1, 2 1, 1 0 By now there's a pattern 5)

1fgchamp I don't know how much probability you know, but there is actually an easy and well defined way to do this. The number of hits on the minion follows a Binomial distribution. So the easiest way to do this is to calculate the probability of 0, 1 and 2 damage on the minion (the failure conditions), and then the probability of killing the minion is 1 minus what you calculate previously. In short, it can be done without tree diagrams and you use Binomial distribution. You can read on Binomial distribution on Wikipedia, including the formula for calculating probabilities (I'm not including a link since I'm writing this from my phone).

When I think of Trump I think of the "Trump Squawk". When he talks about multiple complex lines of play, ropes, panics, lets loose a weird squawking noise, and fails to execute any of the lines of play he talked about properly and sometimes missing on executing even the non-brainer actions that are common to every line of play. I roped, Trump Squawked and fucked up my turn.

The chance for Avenging Wrath to miss killing a single 3 health minion: (35:35) You have to get 6, 7 or 8 hits in the face. The order of hits doesn't matter. The chance to hit face or minion with any given hit is the same, 0.5. 8 to face: 0.5^8 ( 1 permutation ) 7 to face: 0.5^8 * 8 (8 permutations) 6 to face: 0.5^8 * 28 (28 permutations) The total chance is just the sum of those three cases: 0.5^8 * (1+8+28) = 0.145, or 14.5%
