As a bisexual boy, I have to say that this show is absolutely amazing. It became my comfort show ever since it came out, and the whole storyline is so authentic. It really just captures what people in this community go through in a very wholesome way and I am really glad it got released.

About your question: Joe is the actor who plays charlie and he is gay in real life while kit who plays nick is bi in real life, just like their characters. But Kit was forced to come out after the show was released by fans who accused him of being the wrong actor and queerbaiting because he was still known as straight and he was only 18 at that time. this show made me cry so much because of how i relate to it and how the actors portrayed it beautifully.

I actually understood why Tao threw the ball at him. He really has that idea of 'you are the company you keep' and Nick's still spending time with Harry, who threw the ball at him, and didn't call Harry out for doing it. Nick is very conflict-avoidant unless it comes to Charlie so I understood where Tao was coming from (even if I didn't agree with him).

Honestly this show resonates so deeply with me. The episode where Nick and Charlie ran into a room and kissed a bit later. I started crying a bit when that scene happened because even though Nick wasn't out as bi; it gave a comfort of normalcy that I never saw before with bi people in media. It helped me gain the courage to come out to my friends and family with my internalized biphobia I've had for 10 years. 💗💙💜(Anyways will forever be my favorite comfort show because all the representation is well done and feels realistic- at least to me and made my feelings feel recognized and natural 😢🤗💕)
