Imogen is important as a plot device showing we dont need to have misogyny and that females and males can be friends, AND that rather than keeping a beard in the dark, you can be honest with people, and that you can be appreciative with your crush being honest that they don't feel for you what you were feeling, and that you can protect a person who is about to get mocked for not dating you when everyone's hyperinterested and a bit inconsiderate about trying to get you two together (voyeristically)--'we just decided we're better as friends', and that as a popular extrovert who is friendly--you can be pressured, yourself, and not feel your own agency; and it gives us a chance to talk about learning how to say 'no' kindly rather than cave; and it gives us a chance to talk honestly with the person we're seeing when drama and our not knowing how to handle things does get painful and scary--you just express care and your own ignorance and make a commitment to 'make things right with Imogen and tell her I don't like her that way'-----it adds a lot for Nick--and viewers

I felt bad for the Imogen slander, she just liked Nick :( and she just took everything so well when he told her he didn't like her like that, and seemed happy to see him with Charlie in the end. Idk she seems like a good friend for him

As a bisexual guy who is still in the closet( only one of my closest friends knows), I absolutely loved this show. I always wanted someone in my family like Nick’s mom. Anyway, it was an amazing show and Kit Connor did an amazing job, hope there are more seasons to come👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Imogen was a good new character. Cause she can be his bestie soundboard next season. That gives him a close friend outside Charlie's circle of friends.

2 months later, watching literally every reaction I can find, and yours was a perfect recap. Loved it. Make sure you do season’s 2 and 3! And I literally make this same comment over and over again, but the more I watch this the more I see how genius Alice was in creating the character of Nick. Here is a ‘straight’ jock who starts to have feelings for another boy. Nick’s confused, scared, and almost panicked at certain points, but he doesn’t devolve into anger and a negative overcompensation. He NEVER was confused about how he felt about Charlie - and that was what defined his journey. Genius and a lesson for how we raise our sons.

I swear I notice so much more on every rewatch. At the end of episode 1 when Nick is in the car and looks out the window after getting the dm and the animated seagulls… If you know, you know!

I love how Isaac knew before anyone, yet he kept it to himself and was so chilled about Charlie and Nick and kept himself out of the drama ... I hope he and tori are expanded on in what I hope will be a second season

The show is a hit among lgbtq+ young souls because it's opening a whole world of opportunities, and a hit among we old folks because it's the fabric of the dreams we had growing up. Excellent reaction. And why people just don't keep recording devices plugged in?!?

This series is amazing. I loved it so much!!! I just want to keep Charlie and Nick in a protective bubble. I am glad you can binge watch the series because if they were just to drop one episode a week I think people will go nuts. I also think that when they make season 2 I want to see more of Issac. I wish he was in more epsiodes.
