Heartwarming: Puppy's First Winter Camping Experience! 

Has anybody told you you're the Bob Ross of outdoor RU-vidrs? Very relaxing to just chill and listen to.

That dog is adorable.... I think he is a pit bull / lab mix. He's gonna love the water. Very calm demeanor.....

As a professional camp dawg breed expert, I’m going to have to say he is definitely pure bred. He appears to be a 100% good boy. No doubt about it. I lost my camp dawg recently to cancer. As we speak my in-laws are heading home after picking up my new pup, Diesel. While he will never be my wingman Gunner, I’m looking forward to introducing him to the camping/fishing life. Toby looks like he’s made himself right at home.

Toby is the Perfect mix of cuteness! After 30 yrs of not having a dog, I finally opened my heart to one the day before Mother's Day. Something told me to go to that kill shelter & I came home with Rosebud! She is just 5 months old...lots of time to enjoy her being a happy puppy. Thank You so much for sharing this Amazing Adventure, it was Wonderful!

I watched a video today from Simple Living Alaska, which was a tribute to one of their dogs they just put down. Now I am watching your video with your new best friend. It really is amazing how the circle of life works.

I would be lost without my dog. I was lost when I had my last dog put to sleep after 15.5 years. I don’t trust anyone who does not like dogs. What a great looking pup! I go to a farm every two weeks with my dog. He has been going with me since week one. He took right to it. He knows the routine. We always make time for those and the things we love.

What a sweet sweet puppy! Pretty sure he is an American Stafforsdshire Terrier (Staffie) which is also in the pit bull family. At the very least a pit/chocolate lab mix. Thank you for saving him....rescue stories make me cry. Our Staffie was the best rescue we ever had; a loving, loyal dog who wants nothing more than to make you the center of his universe. Enjoy him...he will love you and bring you joy til his last breath......Many happy days ahead......

I have to say that yesterday’s “KOAT Video No. 140” was a pretty special, and it was a pleasure to meet your new co-pilot and camping buddy. You guys are going to have fun! As usual, your videography and storytelling were beautiful and just what my Tuesday night needed. We definitely appreciate all the effort you go through in putting out these weekly stories. Although I imagine that Toby is going to be a bit confused at first as to who you’re always talking to if it’s not him, and why you’re always going back and forth setting and retrieving video gear. Hope he doesn’t get jealous of your cameras! As life goes on… my adult kid’s dog (I guess he was my ‘grand-dog’, Rico) left us on just this past weekend before your video. I tried to explain to my 3 & 5 year old granddaughters how and why our pets die. Not sure they understand at this age, but by showing them your video, they now know that even though they can miss their pup, sometimes a new best friend can be just around the corner.

Toby is a good boy, that's for sure! He's definitely a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and Lab. He looks just like my dog Ruby when she was that age.

That dog is clearly a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll. I agree with someone else here that Toby is pitbull/choc. lab. He is a very chill puppy which means he's maybe in a growth spurt. I wouldn't be surprised if his energy level jumps three fold suddenly. I guess we'll all get to see. 😀

Pit bulls are the best. I lost my bubbies to lymphoma in November. He wasn't even 4 years old. I miss him tremendously. Dogs give you many good days and one really bad one. Enjoy the pup.

We found a new recipe. Its like a "pig in a blanket" but this is a "Stuffed Hawaiian." Cut out long rod sections of pineapple top to bottom. Core out the baguette (and optional slice the side). Pull out a thick ham slice, slather on some Hoisin sweet soy sauce, and roll around the pineapple rod. Insert and twist the pineapple-ham (or place) into the (sliced) baguette core. Bake up in the outdoor cooking cone until the pineapple, ham and hoisin is juicy hot. Soooo gooooood !!!!
