surprised to see fresh berries in winter, glad I have some frozen from the summer :) oats and flax in smoothies is a fab way to get breakfast into those "i dont like breakfast" types!

What brand of blender is that? I'm sure the time was cut in the video, but it seemed to do a smooth job blending everything nicely.

I had the same blender last year, KitchenAid, and it never worked that well for me - had to return 2 of them. I make a similar smoothie: frozen banana, 2 oz. frozen blueberries (organic), 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 scoop WPI, ~ 2 cups water. All it did was make sludge, not "smooth" at all.

I could have made a banana oat smoothy except that SOMEONE(?) left my freezer cracked open all night last week and all my frozen bananas defrosted and look like brown mush

I hate that almost all to all the fiber is lost when juicing. I wish it wasn't like that. Either way, wonderful recipes to try.

With this recipe almost all (if not all) of the fiber is in tact. Blending is different from juicing, whereas juicing takes the juice of the fruit or vegetable and leaves the skin and fiber.

Yeah, I was a bit confused with that until I talked to my Professor in Nutrition class. It's surprising how many things are lost from vegetables or fruits from our cooking techniques.
