Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes react to the Miami Heat’s win vs. Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the 2023 NBA Finals. I think there are some central reasons why FTF is so much better than all the other analyst shows. For starters they keep it light-hearted and fun. First Take, Undisputed, and even Speak just have a lot of shouting. These guys actually have insightful conversations and really get to the heart of what they're talking about. And secondly, it really seems like they have a mutuality the other shows don't. Everyone gets to have the floor for each topic. The other shows will let one person go on for a 10 minute monologue while not actually saying anything meaningful at all. It's centered around the 3 of them, rather than one being featured over the other two. That's definitely a mark they miss over there on First Take

Agreed. These folks do seem to have the most fun. I like Skip and Shannon almost as much, but not quite. I think S & S don't have as much fun and are not as funny. And while I like Stephen A, he does clearly try to make every segment in which he's on primarily about him and his take.

It only works because the other two are corporate pushovers enough to ignore (for entertainment/continuity purposes) Nick Wright’s inconsistencies, bad-faith arguments, and flip-flops. Not even hating, the show is impossible without this. But clearly they’ve accepted their roles as actors in a show (with a different plot everyday) and sacrificed any attempt at being respected in the field of journalists/analysts.

They should of respected them after game 1. Denver won but only by 11. If you actually watched Game 1 Miami shooters was literally open all game just like they was in Game 2 they just wasn’t making shots. Denver could easily be down 0-2 if Martin don’t have zero and strus don’t shoot 0-10 they defense isn’t that good

@@OJMayo-wbk3 While I don't totally disagree, Denver was the one missing shots this game. You think Jokic just wasn't passing the ball or couldn't because of Miami's defense? No. They just weren't hitting shots, if those shots fall its 2-0 for Denver. Which speaks to the volume of how close this series truly is. Plus if Miami tries to integrate Tyler Herro mid series I think that is only going to mess up their flow. But I hope Miami wins, Jimmy Buckets deserves one. And not like how Embiid "deserved" an MVP.

Coach Spo might not agree but he did make Joker a scorer. Lakers always made the mistake of doubling or soft doubling Jokic leading to Nuggets role players getting rhythm because of open 3s and killing the Lakers. doubling should have always been a surprise tactic used sparingly. Nuggets were better than the Lakers but that was a 6 game series turned into a sweep because Lakers never forced Jokic to just be a scorer.

I've had Nuggets in 6 since MIA went up 3-0 with both teams splitting their home games and DEN closes them out with 2 or 3 in a row (2 more than likely).. If MIA isn't hitting their 3s, they're kind of sunk. DEN already proved they can win without hitting 3s in GM1, so we'll see what happens in South Beach. But I expect it to go 1-1 with the pivotal GM5 back in DEN (whoever wins GM5 when it's 2-2 wins like 75%+ of the time).

@@illuminahde yeah I had Miami beating Boston and when it was 3-0 Miami i even predicted Boston would tie it only to lose in 7 I also predicted Denver would win game on to set a town and they would cover and then when the public all took them and faded Miami in game 2 the heat were going to win People don’t realize how much money the league makes by fading the public with Vegas

So how come role players are consistently outscoring Jimmy Butler? In the finals, Jimmy Butler is averaging 17 points. Ok, Jimmy is playing defense...are other Heat players just standing around?
