I clarify mine every wash day (every other week) because I use protein products since becoming a straight natural. I use the more expensive hair lines like OUAI, Oribe and Kérastase. Believe me, it matters. You want more quality ingredients and not bargain ingredients. These lines cost more but I noticed a difference in my hair when I stopped using cheaper products. Better retention, stronger hair. I don’t get the little breaks like I used to

Be careful guys it’s not safe to clarify every wash day if you are a weekly washer. She washes every 3-4weeks so that makes sense for her because her wash days are basically a month apart.

Is clarifying and just shampooing the same thing? Is there a difference between a clarifying shampoo and just a regular shampoo? I used to think it was the same thing but some people seem to stress the clarifying part. How do you know the difference if there is one?
@timberivey6550
@timberivey6550 9 месяцев назад
It’s okay to clarify every week if you have a quality conditioner. Tbh most drug store conditioners are not quality. It’s beneficial to look at professional grade products. Only using moisturizing shampoos can leave your hair with build up and unsuccessful stying results.

@@foreverpringlea clarifying shampoo strips your hair of everything, natural oils and build up, a regular shampoo might wash out debris and stuff but it will not penetrate and remove any build up of oils. It’s important not to clarify too frequently because your hair needs your natural oils which a clarifying shampoo removes, most regular shampoos will not remove any oils. Bottles usually state if they are clarifying.

@@foreverpringle A clarifying shampoo strips the hair more than a regular shampoo. Clarifying too often can dry out your hair. Hope that helps

@@foreverpringleclarifying shampoo will say clarifying on the bottle. It really strips the hair for a deeper cleanse. Should not do this weekly unless using tons of products on hair weekly.

I’m a str8 natural too but I don’t consider my hair heat trained. When I wash it it goes back to my natural curls. I feel like heat trained is when u literally have heat damage so ur hair doesn’t curl anymore. This was informative and your hair looks GREAT! ❤

@tjanee

@@nininelson6108 yeah but i use a cheap vo5 shampoo then i condition and detangle. i use chi heat protectant, blowdry put some cocoa butter vaseline on my hair and press it out. wrap it up every night with a hair net and scarf. oil and grease once my hair starts feeling dry which is like every other day 😂 the real key to growth is moisturizing once ur hair feels dry which may be once a week, everyday or every 2 days. use extra oil on places where ur hair breaks the most which is my ends and my edges

I'm curious about putting on the regular conditioner BEFORE the deep conditioner. I've been doing the opposite for the smoothing effect the regular conditioner gives (as opposed to the deeper moisture penetration of the deep conditioner). Have you tried both but settled on putting the deep conditioner last for some reason?
@RoxannaRenea
@RoxannaRenea 11 месяцев назад
I've always used the regular conditioner before the deep conditioner Never thought to reverse the order. that's interesting!
@consciouscrypto3090
@consciouscrypto3090 11 месяцев назад
@@RoxannaRenea thanks for the reply. It probably comes down to the conditioners you're using. My regular conditioner seals my cuticle (slightly acidic) so I want it to be last so that it doesn't make it harder for the dc to penetrate. But if my regular conditioner was more about moisture and more base rather than acid, I might put it on before the dc. Definitely would be easier overall routine if I did.
@aquafina6544
@aquafina6544 10 месяцев назад
I do both. I alternate depending on what my hair needing.
@keina2121
@keina2121 4 месяца назад
@@consciouscrypto3090I’ve been told regular conditioner seals your cuticle, so deep condition first then rinse, then if you choose use regular conditioner. I honestly just deep condition, i barely ever use regular conditioner and my hair stays hydrated until my next wash day. I mostly wash every 2 weeks.
