The introduction of the Waqf Repeal Bill, 2022 was approved after 53 members voted in favour and 32 against. A private member bill seeking to repeal the Waqf Act, 1995, was introduced in the Rajya Sabha after a division of votes.

Waqf makes us feel India is not secular. It should be abolished. The profits of temples are used by the government but waqf has the right to occupy the properties of the government or any other citizen without any proof. It should be abolished immediately and all the assets that were occupied by waqf should be given to the rightful owners.

All the temples having their trusts, the donations taken by temples is only used by trust not by government. Do you have example or name where the donations of any temple is used by government.

ऐसा कुछ जिसकी जनता को बरसों से जरुरत थी अंततः आज यह प्रस्ताव संसद में लाया गया है ।यह प्रस्ताव दोनों सदनों से बहुमत से स्वीकृत भी होना चाहिए। जो भी कानून या प्रावधान समाज को तोडता है, भेदभाव करता है , उसे हटाने और मिटाने मेें ही देश की भलाई है ।देश हित से कोई धर्म या मजहब बडा नहीें हो सकता ।

Do you even know what waqf act is? They can occupy any land they wish.. You can check Tamil Nadu case where they have claimed right to 1500 yrs temple.. One religion should not be able to dominate over others, especially since they were given a country on religious basis

When we are creating inequality based on religion going against secular, there is an issue. Almost all of Delhi will be taken over by waqf board as we had foreigner tyrants Mughals ruling in the past. Waqf board is claiming old Hindu temple properties that existed before Islam was born. They aren't audited like how government takes control of Hindu temples. This Waqf must be repealed. Government need to help Muslims to protect in other ways not waqf board.

As per peaceful community faith, entire world should belong to it. No body can challenge & own any property. Why Wakf property act is not intoduced in other secular countries including Europe, Nepal, Srilanka, America etc etc. All those who oppose this bill should file case in UN & ICJ

When the very Waqf Act has been so drafted as to have an over-riding juggernaut act of acquiring property without any supporting documents of the property being so assigned. And worse still, the very fact of these being justiciable in any court of law other than their own internal "Kangaroo Court" ?!
