It’s not a deception. I met Heavenly Mother in an NDE once and I did witness seeing the Mormon heaven. My best friend and my godmother also formerly hated Mormons but became believers after their NDE’s. They witnessed the same thing I had so I guarantee you it’s true. Jesus had told me specifically much of what we know from scripture is false and mistranslated and there are other gods including Allah. The men who wrote the Bible changed many things. When Christ comes all truth will be revealed and those who don’t accept it will perish. All I know is Jesus told me to love others and not judge other faiths so that’s how I choose to live.

The LDS Church does NOT teach that a Heavenly Mother is a mediator between people and God. The LDS Church DOES teach that Jesus Christ is the only Advocate and Mediator between people and God the Father.

NOBODY NEEDS RELIGION. When you pray, you are merely talking to yourself and working it out without any help except your own determination. Religions make people ignorant and a lot of times self righteous people. People who go to the Church of God tell their parishioners that only people who go to their churches will go to heaven because they are the true believers. How divisive and irresponsible. It teaches them they are superior to other's and everyone else are sinners. All serial killers were raised by religious parents who forced their beliefs on a young and impressionable child. Religions should not be taught to children. Just teach them to be good people and treat others how you want to be treated. If they want to join a religion later, that's their decision.

The holy Roman Catholic Church, the only church established by Our Lord Himself, has a beautiful “heavenly mother,” the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary. I have lived in Utah for many years but there is much about Mormon culture and doctrine that I don’t understand. However, I’m fairly certain that this “heavenly mother” being referred to is not formally accepted in LDS teaching. But as a practicing Catholic, I can tell you that we do have, in our official teaching, a woman who is Our Mother, and she is loved and honored by men as well as women; a woman who brought the Savior into the world and is thus co-redemptive with her Divine Son. She has appeared to many in our world and continues appearing to bring us messages of joy and of warning about our future. She was immaculately conceived and is the best example of womanly perfection that humankind has ever seen. LDS people are good folks, family-oriented and clean-living. But their faith was established by a human, not by Jesus Christ. If they miss having a mother figure in heaven, they need only look to Mary, Queen of Heaven and Mother of God. Viva Cristo Rey! Viva Santa María de Guadalupe!
I am the opposite. I’m LDS and I’m convinced Catholicism is a cult because ya’ll pray to Mary and saints and that’s a sin. I doubt Jesus would have built a church that declares Mary as Queen of heaven. The Catholic Church is the great and abominable church and always will be. I won’t ever set foot in that God forsaken church after what the Catholics put me through. There are things that happened behind closed doors I’ll never mention to anyone. The LDS church is the ONLY church I ever felt the spirit of God in so that’s where I’m going to stay and yes our church was ordained through Jesus Christ. I have witnessed things in NDE’s that have proven to me the LDS church is true. I don’t care who believes me and who doesn’t because I know in my heart is true. ❤
The Roman Catholic Church was founded by Constantine XI Palaiologos. Jesus built HIS church, the only church on the revelation that He is the Christ and Messiah. Most tenants of Catholicism were added 7 plus centuries after Jesus ascended.

@@ev1193 I think your assuming univocality of scripture. I am not assuming that. Jeremiah is post Josiah reforms and has already recast asherah and her symbols as the lady wisdom proverbs 8. Later Kabbalistic Jews recognize her as Sophia. But for ancient Israel she was the wife of god specially el. For context look at the divine council narratives where yahweh is cast as son of el or the ascension narratives where yahweh ascends to the throne of el. Quoting all the references would take too much time Use a modern ecumenical Bible like the nrsv for the references and scholarly notes. Or look up the works of the scholars I already listed
A wonderful LDS doctrine. I'm glad it's finally being emphasized, and I hope to hear more from our leaders. I assume the leaders are rolling out the concept gradually, to not immediately blow the minds of more traditionally-minded members. But it really is a core concept, if you think about it, and tremendously valuable. So I expect we will eventually get conference talks about it. And someday more revelations about it.

God created man in His own image created He them, male and female. It is biblical unless you believe a Heavenly Father who is both male and female, which a father is not. I’ve come back from the dead twice. Medical death, 28 minutes and 8 minutes respectively in an ER and ICU. We have Heavenly Parents, a Father and a Mother. They are real and Their love for Their children, us, is beyond mortal collective understanding.
