Love that shirt lol I'm switching from rollers to sliders myself and hoping it likes that I'm personally trying to find a happy medium between top end and bottom end torgue for my local roads
Depending on your transmission and how it’s built has a lot to play with it but even in the very beginning stages of this build my bike and never liked heavier rollers, It’s all about that balance you’re right
Honestly the best thing i did to myn was get the lightest sliders possible. Myn came with 5g rollers stock. I went with 4 gram sliders which were actually 4.1 to 4.3 grams each..
I believe it’s to do with the rpms at which the rollers begin to shift the gear ratio. You want it to shift when the rpms are giving out the peak amount power for your engine. Heavier rollers will shift earlier (at lower rpms) but won’t necessarily push the belt up any higher on the variator and give you a higher top speed. You can always change the gearing in the rear wheel hub if you haven’t already.
I have already changed the gears to a 49/17 ratio, Being that it is a tall gear top speed set up with heavier rollers yeah it just negates everything and makes it worse. 5 Gram Rollers will keep this bike happy maybe 4.5’s I’ve been thinking about toying around with that one day this coming season
That is already done my man, but I definitely need to make a how to tune your carburetor video. I’ve gotten quite good at it and I understand each thing that you can do to get it where you need it. I upgraded this carburetor along time before even made this video with bigger fuel, jets as well and the intake
All 6.5g on my 50cc trike put no joke ten mph on it😳 want expecting that but the old ones were all worn flat on every side and never been changed over 12 years as it is a 2010 daixi trike. The man who owned it previously was 95 when he passed two years ago and it had 5500km on it now has 63.
@@davidhofinger4927 I have de restricted the thing with a new air filter element and intake tube setup in concert with a new 20mm carb through to a custom exhaust made of mandrel formed tube and out a custom " fabricated" AKA homemade muffler. I am pretty sure that I am going to just do a short case 150cc conversion and call it done by the end of August.
Just want to say I have watched a few of your videos now, and I like your enthusiasm. You made this Taotao look awesome as well, really well done with the visual mods. I dare say you have taken it to the limit of how good it can look, more or less? Anyway, cheers mate!
Thank you I appreciate that a lot I’m satisfied with where it’s at right now performance wise and visually. Building a new bike right now that’s going to be much faster and just as good looking 👍
@@davidhofinger4927 Yep I have seen it. I got one myself that looks very similar to your new one, though it is GY6 (150cc version) powered. Its funny how your new one got Suzuki TL1000s look-alike headlights. More or less every chinese scoot takes a lot of inspiration from another bike, sometimes the entire looks. A nice drinking game trying to find all the details of other bikes that feutures. I will keep watching. Keep up the good work, lad!
Hell yeah I hope I can get my 13’ taotao to 50 , got the 80cc kit and just got it started for the first time yesterday, this bike was a barn find free scoot to me, now it’s a fully blown stunt scoot 😂😂 do you have a video with a fully build list of everything done to this scooter??
Not a video but in this video in the description below I have a list of everything that I have done to this Scooter to get it to where it is at at this point fully built and happy with the performance ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oOV6Ndl4zHM.html
I ran my scooter on three roller weights I took three of them out they were 7 g each. My bugs RPMs were screaming fast everything else is stock and I hit 48 miles an hour.
Yessir I run .4 on the intake and exhaust it’s at its happiest right there This bike received a lot more modifications after this and at this point is pretty much fully built regarding performance stuff. There’s nothing else I can do she hits 50mph even From a 80cc Chinese built 4t GY6 Not bad at all
I ordered 2 innertubes from amazon and they were very poor quility especially where the valve stem goes in the tube not good where do I get a decent tube
For all of my aftermarket or just Scooter purchases online I go to www.scootertuning.ca/en/?gclid=CjwKCAjwkaSaBhA4EiwALBgQaLBnQOj0RV4IoRsB3I1dAhO1pEZ121kA60qK2xae5yezjbSaDg4-ZxoC64QQAvD_BwE They will have your bike in the top left you can find it if not as long as that bike matches up to the dimensions of your inner tube you’ll be good 👍
This is an almost completely built bike I’m well past that point, You should watch the old videos I have to go over things that have been done. The rollers was just a fine tuning possibility but turned out not so
@@CalinEnduro If you install a softer contra spring your engine will be able to reach more RPMs towards the top speed of your bike BUT will achieve lower RPM’s at low speeds
