3 of Heavy Haulage Australia's Kenworths carry three Caterpillar D11 in an impressive heavy metal cavalcade through central Queeensland. They use Australian made Drake Platform trailers or what they call lowboys in the US
Totally understand stop start in waste industry - hope all long haul have seats belts because we have too many bad drivers not considering trucks on our roads :)
Boss puts in a few miles behind the wheel too. That's good because he has a better feel for what the troops go through every day. Being part of the team has it's advantages and who wouldn't be proud to drive one of those rigs?
Nah the setup HHA would have is a Joey box (auxillery box) behind the main box. So you can use the 18 gears in 4 different ratios which gives a lot of benefit to this sort of work.
i have the clou why they have so long gear leveers. they have a lack of muscles and if they`re in panic with shifting at a steep climb with 180tons, they hope to change the gears better if the gear box has the oposite opinion. lol but the trucks and sound s are soooooo cooooooooool! regards from europe where voith invented the viab for heyvy haulage up to 300tons of load
@@joshcook8586 haha yeah you are right, think I saw this around that time ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5UUz1zTZFfU.html Either way Volvo is more bang for a dollar, I love the romance of a Kenworth though, old White trucks even more
In certain situations you don't have to wear one, one example is garbage collectors in some states don't have to wear them while they are emptying bins.
