I had a Wingun that shot 900 with .20's. Bought it from Nashville Airsoft in TN an the guy was like "I'll sell it to you cheap because you'll never field the gun"
Which one did you get the green gas or CO2?? Im not sure which one to get. I wanna get CO2 for the high amount of kick and how far back the slide goes, but the fps is too high for my field. Im not sure what to do.
@@BallisticBurns As someone who owns the Co2 version, I would reckon against it. It will most likely break skin but not much past that. It only shoots plastic bb's, so no penetration through anything. So, No. Just do yourself a favor. Go to a SIG certified dealer. Pay the real price for the M17 and use that. It will be more expensive but in life or death relying on a Co2 cartridge and shitty plastic BB's is not worth it.
I own this airsoft pistol. It’s beautiful, hits hard, is fairly accurate and a co2 mag van take 2-3 reloads before needing me to replace the co2 canister. The slide tends to jam in very dusty environments or when not lubricated correctly.
@@DarkSteel361 Up, hops provide resistance, so not having it on a realistic level at the Chrono would be unfair to you! Just try to get the bbs going straightish/having a good arc before chronoing.
I love your videos. Whether they be review or gameplay. You always know what the hell you’re talking about and give unbiased feedback that is valuable to experienced and potential players alike. Keep up the good work, Jet!
in this video he was uninformed and or incorrect about multiple things, so the fact that you can sit here and simp and say "You always know what the hell you’re talking about" is laughable to me.
Did anybody else notice that on page 7 of the manual in the video it says exactly how to break the gun down? "6.0 Troubleshooting - disassemble for Inspection"
I own a real M17 and got the airsoft one. They are identical. Just sucks mine broke on 4th shot during chrono before a game. Closer inspection there was a couple air pocket inclusion in the air nozzle. Sent it back to Evike. I talked to others and have seen numerous reviews with my same issue. So hopefully it’s something SIG is looking into.
Hey jet for that special tool could you drill a small hole and place para cord into hole into a loop and tie it together and use a carabiner to clip it to molle on the vest your wearing with the gun?
@@arroyo_Lt0 LAMO then your hands are full and you can't toss frag grenades. Also with that tool its for the hop up adjustment so once your hop ups set you really shouldn't be carrying it since it would be pointless.
Same did you get the co2 one or gas blowback one? And if so did you order a gas blowback mag for the co2 version or for the gas blowback version did you order the co2 mag and do they work?
Just a tip.. adjust hop befor crono in the future, CO2 and Gas pistols has a tendency to variate in fps due to compression, and as you saw, it overhopped crazy so there where increased compression, and the gun went to hot :)
Why can't you clear the chamber when not wanting to shoot a BB? It gets stuck and have to manually clear the barrel. Not a lube or hop-up issue. Haven't seen any vid explain why the sigs you can't un chamber a BB with a slid back. Anyone know why?
I have the M17 pellet version and not too happy with it. The blow back function is slightly loose which when aiming at a target throws the pellet a little off. Looks like they did a good job with this airsoft version though. Wish I could swap the inner workings and have a sturdy 🔫
Should I get the co2 or the green gas one? The co2 one is more reliable in the cold, but the green gas one has better cost. I’m trying to make a milsim loadout and this would be perfect for it. However I’m trying to find one at an affordable cost
@@kriticalkayd I just tried out a gas blowback gun for the first time this weekend and really liked it over the co2 gun I usually use, might get a green gas version instead
@@HaydenW0511 I would reccomend the green gas version. The M17 is one of those GBB pistols that doesn't really handle the added stress of CO2 very well. I used to run CO2 mags on my 2 yo M17 for a summer and broke the hopup chamber and nozzle and LCI from normal play. Long story short i switched to Propane magazines and havent had any problems in the last year and a half. CO2 is just too strong for this gun.
Is there any gas blow back or CO2 blow back plastic handguns or rifles. I wasted $160 on a Umarex USP and I didn't know it was non blowback until I shot it so I'm thinking about buying this M17 at Fleet Farm for $150. My first Airsoft guns was the FNS Starter kit included with a FN Scar L and a spring powered silver FNS 9 (PLASTIC) My 2nd Airsoft was the HK416 cost me $90 not bad but the hop up is bad because I lowered the hop up and it still shoots the BBs up too high. My 4th Airsoft is the M4 Carbine 10 or the Lancer Tactical LT-19 GEN 2 SERIES. It's not bad but it's heavy and adding the acog or scope with lazer on it increases the weight and I just bought a Light weight polymer out door sports angled foregrip. Plus is this M17 metal because I'm guessing by looking at it it metal.
Glad to hear it shoots hard because I just bought the C02 to train with while ammo is costly. Also I can use it in my backyard lol can't do that with the real deal, except at my friends house hw lives in the middle of nowhere
Why are CO2 gbbs shooting so hot recently? For example the EF USP CO2 version at one point, according to evike, was shooting no more than 350fps. I checked maybe a month ago. Maybe a week after I looked at the webpage the same gun's velocity was bumped up to 360-400
Or maybe it's something to do with the gun's manufacturer? Like the KWC Rail Gun 1911s shoot almost 400fps, while Elite Force stays at CQB velocities, even though they're pretty much the same product
@@WyFoster CO2 cartridges contain liquid CO2. The pressure will be the vapor pressure of CO2 at whatever the temperature is; at typical room temperatures, it will be 800 psi or so. This makes the pressure self-regulating: As you use up gas shooting, more boils off from the liquid CO2 in the cartridge until the internal pressure matches the appropriate vapor pressure. As long as you don't shoot too fast, the pressure driving the BB will stay the same until you've used up all the liquid CO2. Guy Carden, Pullman, Washington
Ive had a good experience with the gun, but not so much the mags. Ive broken 2 so far. They are very fragile mags and im hoping this comment section can help me out here. The first time i let go of the slide to speedload and it launched breaking the tip of the mag. The second time was i placed it on the ground (no fall) and it broke. Im not sure what im doing wrong. Hopefully i get an answer.
Can i use a green gas mag in the co2 gun or do i have to but a whole new gun? I had to shoot a few rounds with my co2 mags to get it under field limits
Got my gun, in the first 5mins of handling my gun I tried to remove the orange tip (ofc) after maybe .5lb of torque the orange tip just sheared off, so now I have orange plastic left in the thread with nothing to grab ... Sucks.
Sig needs to address that the slide literally blows up and the nozzle breaks after a few Co2 mags. I've read well over 100 reviews on sigs web site as well as amazon and Evike. Still no SIG air reflex. Quality control is SHIT! They don't address anything or any problem. No aftermarket parts or anything from them. the barrel is 13mm CCW WTF??? otally regret buying this. If these "quality control" problems didn't exist this would be without a doubt my favorite airsoft pistol.
As someone whose in the military this is not standard issue, yes they're integrating it but the m9 is still the predominantly used platform that I myself have quald with twice in the last year and if your unit even has these more often than not the only time you'll touch it is at the range or if you're an mp. That being said I love the actual version and airsoft variation of this pistol 🤙
Yeah, maybe if you're in some random sustainment company nobody cares about. I fucking hate dudes who come to videos to say "well I'm in the military so you're wrong" you're not the only one cupcake. The M17 is in way more units than you think.
About using with CO2: Are there any companies out there that make valves, nozzles, etc. that can drop the muzzle velocity when using CO2? Edit: I mean with any GBB Airsoft pistol. Not necessarily just this particular one.
