Yo Jet can you do a review of a “Elite Force/VFC Avalon Gen2 Full Metal VR16 Saber Carbine M4 AEG Rifle with M-LOK Handguard” it would be awesome to see you do a review on one
Not only that but also being fair about calling out players on both side for the same issue. Its too bad I live about as far away from that field as I can possibly get.
@@50shadesofcerakote Oh, Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the rule. I've taken a paintball at point blank range on my collar bone and spent pretty much the rest of the day laying around moaning in pain because it hurt to move my head because the skin was incredibly tender around my neck from the impact, I actually have a scar there from where it hit though it has MOSTLY faded away finally. That said as an example, we are playing a game where we get shot at and you shoot back. Sometimes its GOING to happen, you're going to come around a corner and there a person is going to be, maybe they're waiting for you and they blast you at point blank, or maybe you see them first and reflexes kick in and you pop off a couple rounds at point blank. It happens and as a player you should expect to get hit. If you don't want to get hurt, wear protection otherwise be prepared for anything to happen in the heat of the moment. I only made the comment about the fairness because that ref wasn't even there for the 2nd event but still went out of the way to be fair about it instead of just shrugging it off because he didn't witness it. At the end of the day though, I'll play based off the rules of the field, if they want me to Bang Bang, I guess I'll feel dumb saying Bang Bang and hope the person doesn't jump out of their skin and turn around and blast me on accident.
@@Zack_G_E Given how easy it is to modify the output of guns these days, ME or not should only be based on your gun. If you want the range and go 400FPS, then you have ME. If not, drop your velocity to 325 or lower and you can shoot at any distance. Even if they allow a 400FPS with no ME, I think it is the responsibility of each player to be aware of their pain tolerance and bulk up on protection if they can't take it.
@@unkwnph0en1x87 when shooting the gun has dangerous chemicals in it that you shouldn't get on your hands or on your face. It happens if you somehow bust it open and get the chemicals on your hands. If you do get it on your hands then you should wash your hands extremely well with tons of soap as that can help clean it off.
Juan Jalapeño Right??? When I go to the paintball/airsoft field, I expect to be shot, it’s the risk you take when playing this kind of sport... I don’t play hockey and get pissed when a guy hits me.
@@BrainExploder The MCX has some similarities with the M4 or AR15, but not really any with the mp5. The M4 and MCX are both most commonly chambered in 5.56 and the controls are basically identical. If you know how you use the safety, bolt release, and charging handle on the m4, you know how to do it on the mcx. The actions of the different firearms are completely different however. The m4 is a direct impingement firearm, which means that some gas from every fired round is redirected up and back toward the bolt. This causes the bolt to move backwards and cycle a new round into the chamber with no moving parts other than the bolt itself. There's much less force in 9mm than in a rifle caliber like 5.56 so the mp5 doesn't use this system. It is a roller delayed blowback action which is much more complicated to explain, but no gas is redirected when the weapon is fired. Rollers lock the bolt into place and have to unlock after every round is fired which delays the bolt moving backwards just long enough for the bullet to exit the barrel. The MCX uses neither of these systems. It utilises a short stroke piston system. Instead of the gas traveling all the way back to the bolt like an M4, the gas hits a piston that moves the bolt instead. This system has more moving parts but is generally cleaner to operate because you aren't shooting gas into your bolt face and chamber and fouling it up. The advantage is a more reliable weapon, the disadvantage is that it weighs more because of the extra mass of the piston. Which is better depends on your priorities.
People complaining about minimum engagement distances have no clue that in Cali a lot of insurance companies require them. Field owners hands are tied.
Well then that’s just fucking stupid the only like legitimately serious injury I could see is being hit in the eye but you should be wearing eye pro anyway and if your not then we’ll that’s just Darwinism and most fields have rules about eye pro
Just like at the beginning of the video, Cali also says everything causes cancer. It's like being in a boxing match and not actually being able to hit the person because it might hurt.
Best way I’ve found is to slide the outer barrel off a touch, seat your battery, and slide the barrel back. Battery is going nowhere, and you can just take the handguard off to charge the battery
As someone who owns two actual MCX Virtus rifles, and was looking to get one of these for training purposes, I can attest to the fact that this appears to be a very accurate representation of the real firearm. Obviously the exterior look is identical, but from what I have heard, the dimensions are the same to the point that you can use replacement hand guards from the real MCX on the aeg. The stock can also be swapped for any of the stocks utilizing 1913 rail mounting. The tolerances seem tight just like the real one which would explain why the front takedown pin was difficult to remove. It’s the same case in the real one, and they do that so the hand guard has a more stable platform for mounting lasers and such up front. Good review!
Yeah, a lot of airsoft sites are closed but i imagine they'll be open after the quarantine is over and Britain has recovered. At least where I am anyway.
Should only be for snipers really. Some of those upgraded bolt actions can damage equipment and face pro at close range. Granted barrel mouthing some body with a sniper is kind of a dick thing to do.
Holy shit, that sentence was a clusterfuck of words, let’s try that again. Minimum engagement distances should only be a thing in public games when they allow children, so they don’t start crying
Lets say it shortly and honestly. You Are Awesome I love your videos I had a broken leg for 3 months I was not able to soft in 3 months Just letting you know That your videos cheered me up Than you
Love the addition of gameplay to your outta the box review. Gives a better idea of the gun's performance. Damn! Made the mistake of reading the comments. Did y'all miss the comment Jet made about the MED rule? He thought it was an advanced game that didn't have them. Sounds like the field has different modes. I would imagine MED games open to new players and kids? This game/hobby doesn't grow if the brand new folks get point blanked to the face everytime they turn around.
As a real steel MCX owner, i definitely need to get this. I already have a Umarex/Elite Force 19x to train for my real steel 19x with RMR HRS and TLR-7A
This field looks more and more bad ass every time i watch you play it. Hopefully we can get out there some day and play it. Keep the awesome videos coming Jet!
I live in Michigan and too bad the only fields are all on inconvenient locations that are miles and miles away, I wish I could play airsoft way more, love the channel.
Kudos to you for getting out to the field this year, before everything shut down! I'm so bored I'm just buying up airsoft guns, that's still gonna take a while to be delivered.
that rifle shoots like 420 fps w/ .2 gram bbs out of the box. The second spring drops it to like 370 -390 with .2 gram bbs. I'm surprised the field let you use that, but glad to see the ref enforcing m.e.d. My home field would have you run that as a dmr since it shoots over 400. Another field I play at occasionally, G2, will let you run up to 1.5 joule with a .3 gram bb. The rest of the fields within an hour drive are indoor and wont go over 350 fps. Still, its always nice to see you field a new weapon system and show the weapon in an actual game.
Not an AR-15 technically. its a short stroke piston driven system, that's why there is no need for a buffer tube and you can run collapsible or folding
Please do another live for us to ask you questions. I would love to ask you questions about MilSims. I’ve only played Airsoft a few times and I don’t like the constant fighting. I would love to do the MilSims because they look more like my speed for Airsoft.
Seemed like a pretty cool ref to me. In my first ever time on a field one of the "refs" who was also playing some games, Was a real jerk. Thought the field rules didn't apply to him. Shooting people within min engagement, never called hits, walked off the field twice with a "broken gun" (which for clarification, wasn't actually broken) then took a tour of the opposing teams locations and came right back to his sniping nest, and the list continues. Soured my mood on the sport quite a bit. You always see the videos on RU-vid of idiots like him but I guess I didn't expect to run into one on my first time out
hey jet I have a big question I love airsoft and I watch your channel all the time and wished I could be in an airsoft battleground like this but I have a question do they only have airsoft battlegrounds on the west coast cuz I live on the east coast and North Carolina and I can't find any place to have an airsoft war like this that has refs and people using different kind of guns like the better ones and not the starter out ones and I really just want to know if it's just a thing like out in the west than it is on the east so could you help me a little on this please
My paintball field has just the “golden rule”, be polite and say “bang bang” but they got full right to turn around and shoot you and vice versa. But it’s better to shoot others as you’d want to be shot as they say haha
same, 'bang' is a full on courtesy. not required, if someone gets the drop on you fair a square, and calls bang, you dont HAVE to call it. but youll most likely lose if you try to fight them.
On a real MCX, yes, it's not an AR-15 platform. For airsoft, it's basically like any other gun that accepts M4 mags which could be considered an AR-15. This type of terminology is probably the most frustrating/triggering to real gun enthusiast that watch airsoft videos.
@@DesertFoxAirsoft yeah I get that, i play airsoft and shoot real steel too, and a lot of people try to lump them together when they're TOTALLY different. Externally they're very similar rifles.
When I get older I want to be able to purchase a airsoft gun and go back to scvillage I been their once on my birthday last year it was fun still like because it was my first time
I just ordered the asg scorpion evo and I was wondering if you know which 11.1 titian battery would fit in it. Which size do you think will fit best? Also I love the content!
Don't worry about that, you don't need to be some trained military guy to be good at airsoft. Despite what the tryhards say, very very few real life miltary skills have any use in airsoft. Just run around and try to shoot the other team, PTFO, and make sure you call your hits when they shoot you. As you gain experience you'll learn little tricks that will keep you alive longer. Just remember, everybody was a noob at some point so get out there and have fun.
hey jet didnt know you had a youtube channle i have been watching node for while so thats what i first saw you in so glad to see you have your own channle.
not a fan of battery compartments that arent in the buffer tube, such a pain to have to pull front covers off especially when you have accessories on em
If sig or another manufacturer sends you a gun for a review, they may make sure it’s one that’s 100% out of the box. Or even better. You never know. It happens in lots of other reviews on RU-vid. If you wanna know what it’s like really straight outta the box, go buy one.
Hey Jet I've always wondered if running your GoPro "naked" has given you any issues regarding getting hit or broken by bbs. Would you recomend using it as it is or putting it inside a hardshell case? Greetings from Mexico, can't wait to have you back!
I feel like it sort of defeats the purpose of a candid out of the box experience when the gun is specially packaged and sent to you. Of course they'll make sure it's perfect.
Got that backward. This is based off the real Sig Sauer MCX Virtus and is licensed by Sig Sauer. The M13 is Activision's (Call of Duty) way of not paying Sig for licensing
I've wanted to get into AirSoft, at least right now I'd have the time to familiarize myself with the gear. What would you recommend on a "new comer" firearm wise? I do love that SIG you were running but noticed you state it doesn't come w/ at least some default sights. Also live in GA so I know there are quite a few fields around to go to, once things settle to a version of normalcy - of course I can always go to the in-laws farm if needed lol.
I feel like that battery compartment is easily gunna get filled with dirt and debris. Aside from that the gun looks actually really good. I wish my field wasn't shut down I really need to play some airsoft.
I think a single runcam directly over your barrel looks better, rather than both cams mounted next to each other. The "offset" view of the bb looks kinda weird to me.
hi jet! amateur airsofter fan from the philippines here! the thing i think you are using a magpul ms2 here and i was wondering if you could like make a video on how you run it because i have the same one. thank you! hoping to see more of your content!
