I have always wanted one of these bags . The only catch is I would have to fill it by hand . No hose pipe of garden tap . Great video Simon

Up the consumers!!! 👊🏻💥 Great video, great workout. It encourages foot movement too with a broader swing than a standard puncher.

The white-water bouy diy is a great idea

I’ve got both, an aqua bag and a water buoy. The aqua bag cost about $350 from memory and the water buoy about $90 on eBay. Admittedly the buoy is smaller than the aqua bag (21” I think) but the price saving (aqua vs buoy) comparatively is significant. Incidentally, I didn’t need any special DYI skills to fill or convert the buoy for punching. Both have the same eyelet for attaching a shackle to whatever you use to hang the bag up with (chain, rope, sling etc) and I used the same hose attachment that came with the aqua bag to fill the buoy with water. I have also incorporated a HD Spring into the hanging setup, this takes a lot of the load/force that the frame is subjected to, and lessens the noise factor. One thing home users need to be aware of, especially with the lager bags is, whilst they are easy to fill (hang first, then fill) they are a bugger (very heavy and awkward) when it comes swapping bags. To get all the water out of my 21” bag takes about 2 hours, and that’s after I have removed it to the ground a d managed to get it outside to empty onto the ground 😀

Of course kicking it would expedite the emptying process 😱

For my gym I purchased a Cimac 18" aqua bag (£99.99) from Fight Equipment UK, a Fairtex 18" aqua bag (RRP £190) and a poly form marine buoy A4 size approx. 21" which cost £70 in total inc. the separate metal shackle attachment. The Cimac and Fairtex aqua bag both split within a year. The marine buoy was by far the best quality, durability and usage wise, let alone the considerable price difference. I've not used the official aqua bag, but from my experience and research their marketing is very smart. All aqua bags are actually marine buoys, you're better off getting one of them, but you'll have to purchase the shackle attachment separately and most likely the funnel fitting piece. I was a lobsterman, and those polyform mooring buoys can be used for years keeping commercial fishing boats from bumping into each other. They are incredibly durable.

Bought a A-2 polyform mooring buoy for $50. Go to hardware store and get a hose adapter with a 3/8th tip. Pump bag up with air mattress pump. Use the adapter for air mattress pump of the hose adapter to get water into bag. Pump bag with some air before hand. Preferably fill when it is hanging. The aqua bags are identical so it's just buying the equipment.

I have burst my aqua headhunter bag and I am looking to get it replaced. Would you recommend the aqua headhunter bag or the heavy hitters bag ? Would love to know your thoughts
@Fit2Box
@Fit2Box 3 года назад
Aqua headhunter is more expensive and I would say it’s very close in terms of performance

It's as though you knew! I'm just trying to decide between heavy hitters and an aqua bag. What do you reckon? And also 18" or 21"? So much choice
@Fit2Box
@Fit2Box 3 года назад
I personally would go 18 inch Between the two heavy hitters is cheaper Probably say Aqua bag has the edge but it’s close As they are essentially very similar

@@Fit2Box if price wasn't an issue would you go aquabag? I rather like their cinco de mayo Mexican edition! Is the 21" a bit too big? 18" more versatile?
@Fit2Box
@Fit2Box 3 года назад
@@tomwigglesworth6943 yes I’d say so The 20 and 21 inch water bags are massive and need some serious frame work to keep them up

@@Fit2Box I've heard that buddy. Where as the 18" should be fine on my heavy bag bracket? They are still a decent weight I believe?

@@tomwigglesworth6943 yes they are Tbh I really like the 16 inch as you can move around it and it moves more Great for footwork and head movement

Brilliant we do need to put some more padding in as has compacted down over time but it is still great we use it a lot

Hi mate, is this the 15 / 16 inch bag ? I bought a tufwear 22inch aqua bag but i didnt realise the weight was close to 90kg when full and i dont think the joist in my garage will take the weight. Do you think the 15 / 16inch heavy hitter bag will be ok if i hung it on a 2 x 6 timber inch joist ? Any feedback would be much appreciated my friend 👍🏼🥊
@Fit2Box
@Fit2Box 2 года назад
These are heavy and it’s not just the weight of the bag you can times that by about 3 when you are punching it So yes smaller bag would be better but be careful you don’t won’t to pull your garage roof in
@23lnp
@23lnp 2 года назад
@@Fit2Box thanks for the feed back mate. There wouldn’t be an issue if i wash hanging the bag at the end of the roof where the timber overlaps and sits on the wall. The issue is that its the other end where the joist is supported to the fascia with a bracket and screws. The joists are quite big mind, id say about 8 metres long. I know its definitely not suitable for the 22” as they weigh a ton. Do you think id get away with the 16” ?

Water bags would be fine May have to put some anti freeze in so it didn’t freeze solid Any other bag you could always cover it well after each use

I would say yes Probably best to cover it And if outside in the winter perhaps put some anti freeze in with the water You wouldn’t want to punch a frozen water bag that will hurt
