so much respect for our Allies especially when they do a wing wave for us there saying goodbye and farewell we may never see them again but we may have to fight alongside them in the future. hopefully not to distant

The small engines that looks like bombs on some of the aircraft’s. Are they some kind off generators?

On some of the aircraft, like the A330s, there is a refuelling pod on the outboard section of the wing with a Ram Air Turbine (RAT) spinning on it. This is for air-to-air refuelling and contains the drogue which looks a bit like a huge shuttlecock. The KC-135 has them too but without the RAT 👍

Well that'll be handy. If the yanks retire the Osprey I can use one as a water butt down the garden, the amount of water the undercarriage holds! Much better looking than a green tub too 😂
