@@vincent4587 Daggers. You run extremely quickly with them so you can get stacks insanely fast, and you don't really need crit since daggers can provide their own bleed for a guaranteed 3 stacks of scourge at all times. Blazing Piety is fine for doubling down on crit daggers, but unlike Inexorable judgement which can be amazing with just 1 point into the main keystone Blazing Piety needs 2 extra points meaning you have to give up either 20% damage vs infested + unyielding, or 10% movement speed + auto dodge while sprinting. Not worth it imo. Especially the 10% movement speed which you can just treat as 10% more melee up time. That, and DPS wise momentum is just stronger. 20% faster attacks = 20% more DPS pretty much that simple. Don't know about the damage portion whether its a 20% multiplier at the beginning, or end of the equation. Doesn't matter either way.

it's not really a black and white thing and depends on what you use for ranged as well and what you want to do if you want to mega abuse invocation of death you take piety if you want to make the new revolver, a scattershot manstopper shotgun, or a laspistol go real hard you take piety if you're running shred piety is overkill if you're running combat blades it's a tossup, increased crit rate translates to a lot more dps (crit chance stacks additively !) but it makes me feel dirty so I usually run momentum

it's bad against carapace but the best dps against it is to spam special special, right click, special repeat

It can stagger maulers, ragers, etc. and is basically a quick strikedown which pairs well with the deathblow blessing

it's your best carapace damage they also don't deal the same damage to flak, and you don't have to test attacks like that thanks to this lovely breakpoint calculator dt.wartide.net/calc/ which I should probably do a video about the special also lets you queue a heavy 1 faster if you don't feel like qq spamming it, you can see me do the special heavy chain against scab shooters a lot because both attacks one tap them it's also a great stagger tool, will stop rager combos

What’s your favorite melee weapon for zealot with piety?

@@alanwilson3572 I never take piety because of my melee, it's usually to enable a gun to do things some of my favorite melee weapons are heavy sword 9, crusher, combat blade 6, with piety or momentum
