Cozy fun in bad weather. A large lambswool ironing pad would make it easier. I'd also take a supply of my favorite teas, a digital water kettle and big ironstone mugs.
I have two cases to do that I have had for years. You make it look easy. I am going to start using these for gifts. Thank you Anna I am binge watching your shows. I love them. 🌹❤️🌹
+danielle nabozny I am really glad to hear that because it is a fun, easy process and such a great gift...I make a Halloween pillowcase for the grands...every year...remember when we took pillow cases out to Trick or Treat?!
Just found your videos and am thoroughly enjoying them. I'm letting them play, looking and learning, while I'm knitting a blanket for a friend as my sewing room is right next to our bedroom and my machine is rather loud, so handwork is the name of the game when my husband is going to sleep. I'm the night owl. LOVE the things you do as they are so pretty. I have "supplies" ready to do similar and will aim for the look you have. I love the same magazine you do. Your sewing room is fantastic! Well, back to my knitting and listening/watching here in NC. Blessings on this September night. Safe travels ...
Glad you found us! It is so relaxing and for me is like a virtual scrapbook of our travels :) I have about 80% handwork...so the going is slow. Thank you for watching!
Anna I had to laugh to myself, I never thought of buying the fabric that way, one yard of each to have opposite pillow cases. I have made tons to donate or for gifts. Great scenery on the way in. I always learn something from you. :)
That was fantastic. I help make Quilts of Valor but never did one on my own because you also have to make a pillow case to go with it and I couldn't figure that one out. Now I know😊 thank you sooooo much. I am also watching all of your videos and I'm getting excited about doing these projects. You are a great inspiration 😍
Fabulous tutorial! I just got done making about 30 of these pillow cases and they were donated to a hospice section of a hospital for children. They were so appreciative and thankful and the cases always come out great making them the way you are showing. I especially love the chant!!!!
Hi, My family was from Heber, such a beautiful area. When I was a kid, we would go to Midway and have a ice cream cone at the local dairy cream shop, it was a great treat. I now live in Cedar City Utah, we have a awesome quilt shop, here. It Is called 4 Ever Quilting, I am so privileged to work there. Maybe you could come and see us some time. The owner is Deb Leonie, she is even online for shoppers. We love your tutorials and watch them while we work. Thank you!!
I have been to the shop and actually done a slide show on my Woolie blog...and I own a candy apple red feather weight from the shop :) I love Midway and the shop there was just changing hands. I really enjoy the Buttermilk Basin workshop in Midway! Such beautiful country!
I love your tutorials. I wish we lived close I would love to visit with you. I am a new quilter. I made a log cabin quilt a few years ago. I got sick and was kind of out of it two or three years. In the meantime my quilt disappeared. I am going to be 80 in April but I am determined to start another quilting item by doing a Jim Shore kit. I will continue to watch your videos. Today it was the Bee Hive stitching tutorial and Heber Valley RV sewing.
How nice ...I love to save my neat fabs for pillowcases too...I’ve not used a French seam yet..I’m still serging...but..I shall try it on the next ones...thank you Anna..🌻🐝...love that Enzo..sleeping in his nest..☺️
I love pillowcases also! Every time I make them, I have to find a video because it seems odd and I second guess myself. Now I have yours! Great explanation! (Psssst... I see the featherweight fairy has not exchanged your black one for a colored one yet in between sleeps. I'm just sayin... Lol). Before my husbands passed away, and when they first became popular, I found one on eBay for $600 that a lady had done for her daughter n she didn't take up sewing. He said, "buy it now!" And I did. Ha ha every time I sit down at it I think of him. Life is so very short. It warms my heart to watch your videos and hear that pretty music. Hi Enzo! What a life that dog has!
+Sandra Henderson I am so glad that you understand my bumbling explanation for pillowcases...chanting helps! Keeping my fingers crossed for a sweet featherweight!
Some called that rolled up instruction part making a hot dog when I learned how to make my pillow cases! Great tutorial Anna! Looks like you did get some sunshine, P.S. (Close the bathroom door!)
It is challenging to make these pillowcases correctly, especially quite a few and with interruptions, as I discovered a couple Christmases ago. The construction-themed pillowcase for my little nephew honored his dad and both grandpas who are heavy equipment operators, and prompted the little guy to say good night to the trucks on his pillowcase every night :)
Hi Happy New Year "2018".... How do you sew with a sewing macho e in an RV... What I mean is do you use Shore Power or Battery Power? Just wondering the power consumption of the macho e.
