In this video we look at the last 4 chapters of Hebrews, and how they present 4 pillars for Christian believers: 1. Draw near, 2. Believe, 3. Endure and 4. Love. Draw near to God because the way to Him is now open. Secondly believe, have faith, in the one who loved us and called us to be His own. But the author shows that trust and faith are not an irrational leap into the unknown as many often portray it. But are, first and foremost, founded on a declaration of God. Thirdly, even through hardships, they/we should endure, because the fight against sin is, surprisingly, not something negative, but necessary for sons to understand the father. It's not punishment, but training of the highest order. Because God wants us to become holy, moral beings who can distinguish between good and evil, and through the help of the Holy Spirit, be driven, by love, to choose to do good. Fourthly, in chapter 13 we take a look at love. The Hebrews (just like you and me) were called to manifest Jesus Christ here on planet Earth. This (as we know, but often don’t practice) is done by showing love. A love that protects and promotes. A love that loves good and hates evil.
