In this video we get into the core of Acts, picking up just where the Gospels finished: the last words of the Lord Jesus. “You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” A slow transition from the Jews towards the Gentiles. In the first chapter Matthias is chosen to replace Judas. Right after that, the Holy Spirit comes down, and the Church Age officially begins. A new period in God's history. But it's not until the stoning of Steven, the first martyr, and the following persecution against the Christians, that the good news really spreads out of Jerusalem and into Judea and Samaria. Chapters 8-10 show the real turning point as people from all 3 major lineages are converted. In Chapter 21 Paul returns to Jerusalem, followed by an uproar in the temple, where the temple doors were closed. Never again in the Bible do we read that they were opened. The apostle Paul then went on to Rome to testify before the emperor.
