7:03 Jesus man, such a mature and warm sound. The level that high school kids are able to perform at these days is phenomenal. You guys are the standard everyone should always strive for.
Honestly it takes repetition on repetition to get used to it! Doing intervals of 3-5 minutes to start then try watching your favorite marching band or DCI show while holding your horn up! Hope that helps and good luck on your marching endeavors
Woodwinds add so much in terms of texture, support and color. While it may not be obvious to brass players, woodwinds have an important role even in marching band, and make the overall ensemble sound much warmer and full.
