Kinda look like a dog crossed with a jackal. Behaviour more in line with a cat. Extremely destructive in a way that most other animals only dream they could match. Not really seeing the laugh though. I like Foxes but they're not very dog like :D
@@smartfart9003 He meant we humans destroy their homes, kill them ,pet them for personal use,and literally eat them so we don't deserve them as instead of improving their life we take u due advantage of their disability to speak and torture them yet that fox enjoyed human touch like family showing trust but what we do is 乁( •_• )ㄏ so we don't deserve such innocent creature
@@anothergg2692 from Wiki: Canidae (/ˈkænɪdiː/;[3] from Latin, canis, "dog") is a biological family of dog-like carnivorans, colloquially referred to as dogs, and constitutes a clade. A member of this family is also called a canid (/ˈkeɪnɪd/).[4] There are three subfamilies found within the canid family, which are the extinct Borophaginae and Hesperocyoninae, and the extant Caninae.[5] The Caninae are known as canines,[6] and include domestic dogs, wolves, foxes, coyotes and other extant and extinct species. @@letto4737 the wiki includes the basic classification names ya invalid. It would say the same words as anyehere else. About the only time wiki is actually useful. You lost, get over it
Wild dogs and foxes use gentle biting to show affection. Their mouth is like their hand, so grasping your arm in their mouth is like a handshake or hug. Just like the way dogs and cats pick up their young by gently grasping their neck floof. That shows how much they love and trust you
How is hyena "laughter" such a widespread trope when foxes will break out into fits of this precious, joyous giggling given an ounce of happiness and love?🥰😁
I mean, fox vocalizations have been such a mystery for so long to so many people, it resulted in that horrendous "What does the fox say?" meme*song ... yikes. 9 years ago.
Man, this little guy brings me so much joy...but I also have our little rust colored pomsky that gets me there too (but without the extra many forms of squeaks and such. LOL)
I've heard explanations that the laughing is a display of ownership, pleasure, or a way to get human attention when they want it. I have no idea but Finnegan's hehehes always make my day a little better
@@vincentgallagher_ I think you need a friend. Look on places online in subjects you like, preferably small communities, like a small minecraft discord server.
Foxes laughing is a learned behavior. They notice humans laughing and see that it results in people continuing whatever caused the laughter, and that people like being around people who laugh. He's saying he wants her to stay and keep doing what she's doing
My friend Pieter used to subscribe to this channel. He was a huge fan of Finnegan. By extension, so was I, because we lived and worked together. Pieter loved these videos and I loved to see him watching it. All the foxes, particularly Finnegan, triggered nothing but joy for us both. Sadly, I've not heard or seen Finnegan since Pieter died in January, until this video turned up in my recommendations tonight. The unmitigated joy that followed, absorbed my grief in an instant. You see, Pieter had a nickname for me: Jakkalsie. It means "little fox". And so, finding this video tonight felt like discovering the absence of an absence. Thank you, SaveAFox, for helping out another little fox.
I never knew they sound like a laughing toddler. Why these gentle creatures were hunted for sports, is beyond me. God bless your creatures great and small.
@N They are working to domesticate them and though it will be a while before they finish it is in progress. I know domestication requires generational selection toward easily tamable variants.
Ah, I'm going through a turbulent time in life and seeing this boy just content with being (and getting pets) actually brought a tear to my eye. I needed this. Thanks for your videos.
@Will Yum actually foxes do communicate with facial expressions. They tend to relax their facial muscles when they're joyful, and tense up the muscles around their eyes when they're in a defensive posture.
To provide some context to the actual organization to those confused of this person's possession of foxes like Finnegan (and to those who haven't looked it up before they decided to leave a comment), SaveAFox does not in fact "keep foxes as pets" necessarily, but is a wildlife rehabilitation center in Minnesota that rescues foxes, whether it be from, a fur farm where the farmers don't think the foxes will survive/farms that are horrible quality, people that tried to keep them as pets but had to give them up for whatever reason, to ones orphaned or injured by human causes. Either way, these foxes would not survive in the wild if released, and this is a place where they can simply relax and play, with human aid and supervision. This is not a matter of removing the fox from its habitat or preventing "nature" taking its course (since once again, many injuries an animal sustains in a wildlife rehabilitation center are a result of HUMAN error), its just giving the foxes another chance at a happy fulfilling life, where under "normal" settings, they would not have access to.
I would LOVE to raise a fox, but I know that they're a huge responsibility and need a LOT done to be happy and comfortable... The fact Finnegan is happy shows how lovely Michaela and the other care-takers are!! I am both jealous and impressed ❤️
Not to mention the whole thing with their piss, if they pee on you gotten burn your clothes and shower constantly for days-weeks to get rid of the smell
I like when people take care of animals in need. If they let them their space an natural habitat just give them a hand in times of trouble. But they are no pets. It's such a shame how many forget about that nower days. Namaste

I love Finn's smile and "HeHeHes". It is good to see him so happy. It touches my heart whenever he wraps his paws around Mikayla's arm. He loves his mommy so much. He is such a sweet boy. He brings me so much joy. I cannot watch him without smiling. He cheers me up every time! 💖🦊
My beloved cat just died yesterday and I feel heavy all day, keep looking at the clock and remembering the exact time he's gone. This clip really makes me soft and I instantly remember him. It's a wonder I didn't cry writing this considering I've been crying constantly till my eyes got swollen.
Everyone has to leave this place one day or the other ! The best way is to enjoy with them when when they are alive , but try not to cry you're wasting your life's precious moments too .
Thank you so much guys. These words mean a lot to me. I haven't realized it has been 2 weeks since I left a comment here, make it 2 weeks without him. I'm all happy now, though there are times my siblings and I feel heavy when we talk about him. I've moved on and he remains in my life forever.
