Regarding your opening statement, I think you don't see too many with the PR40 because it really lends itself to few voices. it either fits great (like your voice) or it sounds really tinny and sharp. The SM7b and the RE20 while maybe not the greatest for every voice. It's always at the very least ''okay'' sounding. But I have to say, the PR40 is one sexy mic.

I own 6 of them. They are built to cut through noise and also carry that bass for FM radio DJ’s. They are used by serius radio, and Twit tech podcast. They are very quiet.

I didn't know that Sirius XM used the Heil PR40. Are their specific shows or channels that use it?

Good demo.I am a doofus.I was going to tell you that this mic was not a end address.I also had to ask google assistant how to spell doofus.I see that your are quite close to it with a filter and it still sounds nice low and slow mellow with your voice.When you pause and are not talking I hear nothing.Ideal mic for invirement with other things on in the area like fans or feet shuffle, squeaky chair.

Funny that you said that. I realize this mic doesn’t need as much gain. If you look at my video comparing the sm7 b and the pr40. It’s a big difference
