JG K, I think it's a bridesmaid's dress. Someone loved it intensely for one day, and then tossed it. Like a Christmas tree. So special. Then, bam, it's on the side of the road...Tinsel still clinging to it. Like a sex crime victim. Underwear inside out. Bound with electrical tape.
Helena is I think the only actress who can dress like a Gypsy fortune teller and still look, sound and grace like a Queen. God I love this woman soooo much...
Yeah his style seems to be frequently misunderstood by various commenters. It's their definitely free form chats following whatever muse breezes through.
I agree without any hesitation. He impressed me often in surprising ways and not just his comedy. He had a more human quality than anyone before or since.
pretty sure everyone knows her agree with you... except her! Stunning beautiful, elegant high street accent, dramatic clothing, lavish curls always done in beautiful styles... she’s the old magic the wrote about hundreds of years ago... maybe she’s part fairy
she's quick and uncompromising. It's actually kind of refreshing, witnessing the challenge and verbal chess. Emphasizes Craig's wit and charm. Wish I had the skillz.
Uncompromising is a great way to put it. She's not "mean" but she's firm and clever in a way that makes you work your hardest. Probably on my top 10 dinner guests to have
@@Wabajak13 Maybe, but she would likely make lesser mortals uncomfortable, which is something that you have to consider when assembling a dinner party guest list. You would have to be particularly clever with the seating arrangements.
I love her irreverence too, it’s obviously very refreshing. But we have to be fair in that she could afford to be herself for her entire life, and to this degree of irreverence, because she’s British upper class, they can do whatever they want to. The working classes have to get jobs to survive, so it’s a little harder for them to BE themselves in the midst of very real restrictions like work dress codes and others. I have met a few girls who dressed like her as teens and then had to tone it down and totally change as soon as they had to attend their first job interview growing up. Even the art of acting itself, and the entertainment industry at large, now totally belong to the upper classes in the UK. The working classes no longer have access to it. Helena’s family friends are high ranking aristocrats (like Lady Glenn Conor, princess Margaret’s lady in waiting) hence her complete and total freedom to do and be whatever she wants, namely act and look irreverent. I like her but she is not one of the people, which is why she could wear a duck in her head if she wanted to. Just saying that It’s easy to be totally irreverently you when you don’t have to get a job to survive.
In Fight Club she changed the line out of the book "I want to have your abortion" into "I haven't been fucked like this since primary school". So, yeah, there's some room for conversation...
I've never really seen Helena in interviews much before (I've liked her but didn't feel like watching interviews of her over the years) but seeing these clips, she is simply ADORABLE and LOVEABLE! Beautiful woman, inside and out. :D
I have watched many of his episodes here on RU-vid because I love his manner. I have adored Helena for decades. The two of them conversing in this manner is pure gold. They have such a natural flow. Craig is my all-time favorite host by miles/kilometers.
I've been her fan for 30 years! To hear her beautiful laugh makes me smile and remember the first time I saw her in a movie. Aww. So happy we get to see her work/her acting. Thanks for the upload.
Haha Yikes! I Had thought of this before commenting, though I'm not educated on the slavery history part. Only seen a couple history of Britain videos on here, randomly over the years, not enough to recall much. I love the British and Scottish. I love Limmy show, Craig Ferguson, Miss Bonham Carter, Ricky Gervais, am I forgetting anyone? Um.. bugger..uh .. God save the Queen!
@@joebryant8500 Being SCOTTISH ! , I only get irritated when English people call Britain England but it doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to and even I can tell there's a difference between supporting slavery and being a self righteous Englishman .
The best Bellatrix this planet can ever produce! Also she is very cat like. Almost like a very dark version of Robert Downey Jr. Man Craig Ferguson had the best interviews
Helena is such a great actor. She played Ophelia and it really resonated with me. I won't forget her in that role. Of course, she's beautiful off camera too.
I love Helena Bonham Carter! Always have! She doesn't give a shit what people think of her quirkiness. Wish her & Tim Burton would've stayed together. They were perfect for each other
@marti so he should have people of colour in his films just for the sake of having them there. Isn't that disingenuous? That's actually racist. Not what he's doing.
@@youturd55 Wasnt he the guy that played Harvey Dent for 3 secs? Idk if that be my go to man lol. I love Burtons earlier films, Ed Wood is up there with my top 5 films of all time. But Burton does have abit of a conservative bent to him, hes only "alternative" in the sense a upper middle class diet goth. I didn't even know about his racial comments till now, & jus through his films always figured him as a center right boomer with stylish edge
"Helena Bonham Carter - She Put The Idea For Geoff In Craig's Mind" Not according to this video. Craig was the one who called the skull his sidekick, she just agreed and went along with the joke.
Every time I see her, I can't help but remember the famous Fight Club scene and the "My God I haven't been f*&ked like that since grade school". I really lover her in all her roles though. She also is the only person to be able to hold her own while starring with Johnny Depp like in Sweeney Todd
She did a great job in a movie when she was younger it was called "Lady Jane", you should look for it, she played the character so well you forget who she is.
It’s so unfortunate...his late night show is such a bad vehicle for his humor. He was hilarious when he had The Colbert Report and was on the Daily Show.
@@mrwassef I'll stick by what I said. I know humor is subjective but he has never, on Late Night, Colbert Report, commercials....anything..ever done anything to make me even snicker. He is not and never has been funny.
As "mad as a bucket of fish" IS excellent! But in America they say "mad" when they mean "angry". In UK, "mad" refers to " crazy". However, they also say "loopy". Anyway they are BOTH very apt descriptions of "mad". When you think of either one, a bag of snakes OR a bucket of fish. Crazy.
