For everyone compalining about this, it was done as PR by LFN. Iirc this was before a playoff game. LFN has N716LF station 2 miles away at KONO. about .5 miles to the right of the video, there is St. Alpansus medical center where the routinely transfer to and from. You would not believe how often this helicopter is doing night currency training. So calm yourself
Back in 1983 I was in a horrific auto accident in southeast Michigan. I was taken by Life Flight helicopter to St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo Ohio. I thank my lucky stars that the helicopter wasn't dropping off a fucking football!
@@abhijitsingh855Life Flight is a Non-Profit Orginisation (NPO) based in many states, including Oregon that provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) to critically injured patients or provide hospital to hospital transfers for seriously ill patients, hope this clears it up
I think everyone in this comment section is just jealous they didn’t have an Agusta land at their High School. This is pretty cool. And to clarify, it takes about 10 seconds of research to find out yes this Ontario, Oregon with the Life Flight company based not even a 5 min drive away. Stop complaining they wasted so much money to do that, it was all of a 3 minute flight at most.
_-Delaware Scrap-_ The cost of the crew is negligible because they are paid on a shift basis, not per flight. An 119 Koala burns 70 gallons an hour of Jet A which is $5.50 (on the expensive side of the average) in Oregon. Maintenance per hour (airframe and engine) is $533 Say they flew 20 min on the Hobbs aka start up to shut down, (being generous here to show you how inexpensive it actually is), that would be Total cost= (70/3)• $5.50 + $533/3 = $306 for that flight. People think it’s thousands and thousands of dollars, it’s not. And also, this doesn’t come out of taxpayers dollars anyways. They’re a non-profit HEMS operation. I’m sorry to go off on you like this, but it’s more for everyone else commenting how expensive and what a “waste of tax money” it is. Just enjoy the helicopter, they’re amazing machines!
Fantastické přistání!!! Jeho Excelence pan PILOT je úžasný... Kdo neví, co je to takhle přistát a v noci na omezeným prostoru, tak ať nečte můj komentář..
Its like after you step out and walk away everyone in the school runs up to you and asks what that was all about, you be like ahhh nothing really my dad was just dropping me off at school.
Wish there was a back story to this lol must be a special thing and reason why the only thing I could think of is this was to honor someone who was supposed to be there and this was a tribute for that person
How to get a girlfriend real quick. Land a helicopter at a high school football field during half time. The ladies will flock around you when they see you step out.
What's with all the cheering and clapping it's like Americans have never seen a helicopter before and if it is from the local hospital then guess their just arrived/ landed to say ,thanks for all the customers / patients you send to us in between and after each game
It’s a private company donating the flight time. I’m sure the base was local so your maybe talking 5-600$ most factoring in all costs including maintenance.

MediFlight is privately owned....And they market their own insurance for purchase....kind of like auto ins. pay a small fee now and get discounted transports from them
I've seen the lights in person, they aren't bright unless you're inches away from it. And they're for the safety of other aircraft. They are called Anti-Collision lights. They're only really useful on the ground though. The strobes are like the anti-collision, but for the air. None of the lights are actually bright
