Excellent, as usually.. You ALSO provided ALL the info about the parts I'd need to upgrade my Bobcat miner ( UK ) .. You saved me so much time and made me avoid making mistakes in my choices. Thank you so much. When ready, I will buy my "stuff" from the LINKS YOU PROVIDED ! 😁😊😁
You’re most welcome Adam. I’ve listed them with the correct connections, but do also check out the previous upgrade video, if you haven’t already. I explain more into detail the connectors. Beat of luck once your bobcats arrive 🙏🙏🙏
@@Crayban Actually, I have watched the previous upgrade video ( I have seen ALL your videos ) .. It's just in this one, there are links to where to get them in a proper way. From a " connaisseur " like you, the info you provided is like the cherry on the cake . 😊
@@Crayban can you link the other video please, it does not pop.in the right corner for some reason. I've seen it before but can't remember. My miner is due to arrive next week after 6 months wait 😂 need to think about that upgrade. The worst thing is my neighbour got one 3mths before me... hence need better set up haha
Just keep it up, this channel is going to explode in 2022. I beg you on news regarding miners and timing. I d like to get my hands on 5G miner but waiting lists are rediculous. Any news on new quality manufacturers and resonable timing for miners would be of great value. Thank you in advance.
Hey Marcus, i hope so haha. In regards to 5G hotspots, if it only FreedomFi that are delivering. In regards to other manufactures for normal hotspots, PantherX is a relatively new one, which might ship faster than others. Also keeping an eye out for any further 5G manufacturers. Will post on my community channel, if I come across any further 5G hotspots.
Just commented on ya other vid. This is a great video bro, very informative in an understanding manner. When mine arrives in March definitely coming to you for help. Keep it up bro, vids are great and delivery is excellent.
@@meta-zeno505 I agree, had many syncing issues with Bobcats, quite tough to manage when not physically being next to the hotspot. However they have been my best hotspots in regards to ROI. What hotspots are you currently running?
Hi bro. Nice video. You seem to be the only one who can answer these questions.. hope you can help.. 1. If you change from an antenna , how long does it take for that change to take place? 2. I changed the original 4dbi bobcat antenna for a 5.8dbi one from aliexpress. Rewards went sky high.. to 1.20 even. So in my head i was like OK let me invest in a fiber glass antenna with lmr400 cable 3 meter. Conclusion: after 1 week my rewards went from 1.20 to 0.30 , 7 day average beacon from 1000 to 400 and witness went up to 170 from 140-150. ???? So confusing I am REALLY confused.. the hotspot is 35 meter high and outside. We did exactly the same setup but “better” fiber glass antenna but higher witness but lower rewards The hotspot name is Handsome ceramic rook. Hope you can help/advise me ;( thanks
Hello, Sorry for the delayed reply. 1. I usually give my antenna upgrades about a week to settle in and then analyse the results. In regards to the change, usually a few hours and it is up and running with the new upgrade on the explorer map. 2. I had a look at the miner, I can see the rewards have started to pick up. What antenna did you purchase, and where did you purchase the LMR400 cable from? Because it is unusual, especially if you are making the setup even better than its current state. FYI, your rewards in general are great.
@@Crayban Hi! Actually i changed it back to the cheap 12$ 5.8 dbi small antenna with magnetic base from aliexpress. For some reason fiber glass antenna (50$ with 3 meter lmr400 cable from aliexpress as well) made the old setup go from 1.20 hnt to 0.10-0.20 hnt a day. Witness went up to 180 at one point but the 7 day average beacons went from 1050 to 400 after installing the fiverglass antenna. I used it for like 2 weeks or so, first 8dbi, then 5dbi but no difference. All 0.10-0.20 ish a day. I was fed up so i used the 5.8 cheap one again that looks like the bobcat 4dbi antenna from aliexpress and now its at 0.60-0.65 hnt a day…so im trying to understand why, but i really dont get it. Maybe the better antenna is too good? It has more witness but 60% loss in 7 day avg beacons.. i had almost 90 witness with lower than 1.00 transmit scale. So weird..
Quick question. I received my miner in November. Out of the gate there were system issues. I just raised my antenna from a 5 meter to 8 meters. Seems to have increased my rewards. My ?, is does the Miner automatically update or do I have to do something. I've tried researching but can't seem to get an answer. If I do have to update say firmware, how do you do it. Hopefully you know but if not that's cool too. Thanks and great video and information.
Hi Guy, what miner do you have? The majority all update automatically, sometimes they might require reboots to be in sync with the latest Over The Air (OTA) updates.
@@Crayban hi and thank you for your reply. It's the Bobcat 300 Miner. I just ordered 10' of cable and raised my antenna from around 13' to 19' or 6 meters. It didn't record anything during the day but I believe it's on a 1 day delay for reporting now. I purchased in June and received in November. Set up around the 15th then Network went down for a couple of days. So far I've earned 8.18 HNT as of last check. I'm excited about the possibilities of this miner. Thanks again for your time and have a great New Year.
Hey, if it is omni, it will shoot out in all directions, however it will pick a certain path and send out a more concentrated signal. As the dBi increases the signal is squeezed and shoots out at further distance, opposed to connecting to more miners close by.
Hey Charles, a directional antenna would be best suited for populated cities, which is positioned in a directional to reach out to hotspots with high transmit scales.
