Klay Thompson for cheap wouldn't be bad, but he's not who he once was offensively or defensively. No one player is going to solve all the Lakers issues... But Lakers lack consistent offense from the guard position and Young not only scores a lot but he generates a lot of easy looks for his teammates. His pick and roll with AD and Bron would help both get easier looks and Young looks to score more often and consistently than Russell. It would likely cost Reeves and picks, but if you can also get a KCP 3 and D guard to pair Young with and a backup big like Drummond or Howard for rebounds that sounds better than what we saw this year. Donovan Mitchell is better, but don't expect Cavs to hand Mitchell to the Lakers with Bron. Look for the Lakers to offload picks for a guard and Young is on an underachieving team, seems most available. Hopefully not a westbrook situation...

The Lakers need 2 players of a high caliber. One would be a big who can shoot like Davis and be defensive minded also like Davis. They also gave up way too many offensive rebounds after their first shot. Meaning player positioning around the basket was not up to par. Another strong power forward at around 6" 9" with speed would be how I would fill that second slot. They lost a lot of games in the 4th quarter because the other team was in better shape not only just against Denver. Labron and Davis both had a good year, but without a stronger supporting cast neither will win another championship at LA.
