Still dont believe Yasuke was a samurai. Every blogpost wiki news article etc etc about him are all updated after the anime came out and claim he was a samurai. But if you look for Japanese news on him they mention nothing of him being Samurai. Japanese people keep claiming he was not a samurai. I would take their word over western journos. The only facts Japanese historians have on Yasuke is Retainer - yes Carried Nobunaga weapons - yes Fought a battle with Nobunaga - yes That's it. I wouldn't trust a single western publication about Yasuke. Look how they propped up mr floyd and acted like he was some sort of saint.
