Hellboy is a fictional superhero created by writer-artist Mike Mignola. He is essentially a well-meaning half-demon whose true name is Anung Un Rama, though his destiny is to bring about the end of times.

After going thru puberty many human males find that their dominant hand, and arm, is stronger due to repeated and constant use. Also many males that have been incarcerated and locked away from civilization for years at a time find that their dominant hand, and arm, continue to increase in size and strength. I can also imagine that many a demon flaunt their horns as a way of compensation whereas hellboy is so confidant, he shaves his horns. Now, consider this: proportionality.

What I like about hellboy is he"just defies his destiny of bringing destruction's the world. Like "he just doesn't do it". To be alittle specific is that alot characters with a similar story tend to struggle mid way on their supposed destiny because of whatever reason. In my mind I'm thinking "dude if you don't want to just don't do it". With Hellboy when he was confront with the choice he just made it and went through with it. No fuss, no hesitation etc.

I get major Iron Giant vibes from Hellboy, in the sense of "What if the gun didn't want to be a gun" type deal, I mean, created to be the harbinger of the apocalypse; but instead going off, helping people here and there, and generally just doing his own thing.

I very much enjoy Hellboy from the films both live action films of Del Torro, to the animated ones done around the same time to the games, and of course the comics. It does make me sad we haven't gotten more over the years but that's because it isn't the easiest series to adapt. Hopefully this latest film can fo that.

Honestly I don't. They are kept hidden enough you get an mental image of how they would look like. And how you imagine something like them would look like, is always better than what they can make. Plus to me make them feel more lovecraftian, as the cosmic gods, are so unnatural we can't comprehend them.

It’s true. Ron Perlman is amazing as Hellboy and it’s hard to imagine anyone else donning the red skin and goat horns; however, if there was anyone who could come close to it, it would be Josh Brolin who is scheduled to become Hellboy in the upcoming new movie. The comics were epic and it’s unlikely that the new movie will be able to achieve the same level of awesome that the comics are. The comics are much darker and I have heard that the new movies will be darker as well and will try to follow the comic much more closely than its predecessor has. If that’s the case we may be in for a rare treat! The comics are amazing and the movies are good and already cult classic films.

Other than the beautiful monsters there nothing attracting me to this movie. The Hellboy comics are mysterious , scary and fun. They explore folklore and stories through the eyes of a half demon and his modern sensibilities. It is has heart and explores some dark themes. I don't feel the movies are even trying to capture these essential elements that I like.

The 2019 movie had every potential to be as good as the first Hellboy. It is a real pity that the director decided to go to war with the producers (one of whom was Mike Mignola himself I believe). When you watch the movie, everything is there: great actors and producion, but something seems missing, which I understand to be the damage done by the director. I think its worth a watch though :)

So just have it like civil war and spiderman homecoming where peter already has his powers. It might work it might not because their might be people that aren't familiar with the character especially if they haven't read the comics or watched ron pearlmans hellboy. So the reboot most likely will have tell his whole origin story again

Its shows a little of hellboy coming to earth in the trailer but this new one way closer to the source material and pulling the story line form 2 of the best Hellboy stories plus it has more characters and creatures right from the comics and I like they made him look more like the comic ,the creator of hellboy had wayyy more input on this new one the the past two films I can't wait
