Not a sig fanboy or Springfield but Sig is ahead of almost everyone. The Echelon isn’t made by Springfield it’s manufactured in Croatia by HS Produkt Springfield just put their name on it. The Sig has P226, p229, P365, and the Legion series. At the end of the day all guns are guns and I support 2A.

I’m not a hater at all, they are great guns, it just seems that some people are stuck in the SIG box much like Glock people. Like you said, it’s about 2A. I appreciate all guns and brands
@@UnknownUser_0000 first to come with its own modularity with the fcu allowing you to interchange grip sizes, I just picked up a M18 and a Romeo X Pro. Sig is manufacturing their own sights, ammo, lights etc. They design the 17 round magazine first then the gun around it so a micro sub compact pistol can hold 17 without and base extension. Sounds smart to me. I only have one Sig gun out of 7 handguns, my favorite is the M&P 2.0.
@@TacticallyFitOfficial the reason why I think they are ahead of everyone is, they streamline their own products, optics that direct fits their own guns, lights, accessories, even ammo. Hence their aftermarket for them is insane, volumes and sales drives them and leading them ahead. But yes I love all gun brands my favorite is the M&P 2.0 but I personally give Sig for their credit.
I carried an HC Pro for 14 months and ended up selling it. Now I carry the comp’d Sig P365xl with Wilson Combat grip module. My two biggest gripes with the HC Pro were (1) the slide serrations and (2) the grip curvature made it difficult for my support hand to make contact. As far as slide serrations, when I was doing drills at the range it became slippery to rack the slide when your hands are sweaty; I don’t have that problem with the Sig. My groupings at 10 yards are similar with both guns. However, I will say that out of the box the HC Pro is the better deal.
So you're saying your support hand couldnt make contact on the HC pro's (larger) grip but it can on p365xl? I have both including the wilson combat grip you're full of it. Just another sig fan boi
The Sig is definitely flatter in the video you showed here. The weight from the Icarus frame would probably affect the vibrations you feel in your hand, but probably not muzzle rise…
Everybody saying the Sig Macro doesn’t have a true comp on it but it shoots flatter than most of these conceal carry guns out today. So if it’s not a true comp and it’s shooting flat like a true comp like on the Hellcat what did sig do wrong 😂
Just my opinion, but I believe that you may be simply missing the fact that the p365 is somewhat magical and shoots better than the average micro 9. I have no dog in this hunt. I carry either a Canik MC9 (way nicer than people imagine) or a Glock 27. However, my wife owns the P365XL Rose, which has the spectre comp built into the slide just like the rest. it does nothing. This pistol just shoots that well. I borrowed an standard P365XL barrel, which runs through the 'comp' area out to the end of the slide, completely bypassing the 'comp', and it felt exactly the same to both of us. The P365XL is just kind of a magical formula, and it punches above it's class. We're now thinking of getting an actual P365XL barrel and having a nice barrel port (or two small ones) machined in the slide's 'comp' area. I am confident that will have a very nice effect on the snappiness that all micro 9's are known for, with zero effect on reliability.
Sooooo.... First time viewer...... I am not an engineer by trade but I work closely with them as a PM..... That being said, I shared with them my thoughts and your video (great video BTW), the fact that Sig stopped their barrel where the ports started provided a greater area for gas to escape vs the Springfield with cut in the section of the barrel and slide where the gas has a limited path for it to escape. More gas out, less recoil........ I think Springfield shout have innovated more and figured out how to reduce recoil without ports because it looks like they just took Sigs innovation and ran with it for $90 less/. I've been carrying and CCW training with an original Hellcat with 15rd mags for 2yrs. Most hellcats come with 11rd & 13rd mags, but the 15rd mags give the same grip purchase as the Pro flush mag grip making it an easier shooter. I was recently deciding if I was going to pull the trigger (pun intended) on the slightly bigger Hellcat Pro w/ 17rd mags. I'm 99% sure I'm going to end up with the comped version instead now. The only thing I wished they did differently was to offer the Hellcat Pro Comp with the COG like the Eschelon has. Maybe we'll see that next year at SHOT forcing me to buy yet another gun. lol
Lol. I did buy the 17 round magazines the day they released because they gave a HUGE discount so I snagged 2 and paid $60. I also added a threaded barrel from Apex Tactical and a compensator when they released. The compensator I found on ebay from ktcraftsmn. I am planning to swap to a factory Hellcat Pro threaded barrel and self-indexing compensator from Springfield because I am planning to buy a suppressor.
Hmmm... Smith and Wesson had the 4 inch Shield Plus PC before either of these. It has a ported barrel and slide, better trigger, and less felt recoil than the X-macro (I haven't shot Pro Comp yet). I found the standard Shield Plus to shoot softer than the X-macro, but i also found the standard Hellcat Pro to shoot roughly as soft as the X-macro. I may go with the Hellcat Pro Comp, because I really like Springfield Armory firearms and that U-dot sight system is lights out.
Sigs isn’t a true port , I own the xmacro and was disappointed with it , doesn’t really feel different, especially comPared to guns I’ve sent out to get ported
The internal designs is what should really be talked about…the sig 320/365 dead trigger/frame flex gun goes off on its own is truly terrifying-it’s not a holster issue fyi! Sigs dirty little secret…the changes they had to make to make the gun safe but still dosent cut it…ppl love to talk about the trigger on a sig but fail to understand why that is, then on a carry-nope, I’m good…then the fake comp on the Sig…stick with a Glock or a Springfield-your future children’s lives depend on it-if u appendix carry that is
Stop spreading lies. Not one p365 has shot on its own or shot when dropped. It’s ignorant to lie to make yourself feel better. I love my Glocks but sig is doing amazing especially the p365 line

Sig actually looked like me it shot flatter when both hands were on it. Regardless, parts are everywhere to do whatever for these things, so it’s personal preference at the end of the day. 🤷🏻
Personally I'm not a big fan of the large porting that these manufacturers are doing lately on pistols that are geared more towards CCW. Years ago Magna-port was my go-to because they cut smaller ports and had less chance of anything getting lodged in the ports. Coworker of mine has the x macro comp and carries 12:30 IWB and has had his jacket zipper pull get caught in the ports as he draws a few times this winter and spring while we're practicing at our outdoor range. Granted he's not wearing anything that has a front zipper during the warmer months but it was something he didn't even think of until it happened a few times.
i think you cant go wrong with either one of them i say if they have both at the range try shooting both and see which one you shoot better and go with that
Regular Hellcat Pro with a gas pedal thumbrest takedown lever thingie. Also, about the grip... A small XDM backstrap formed to shape and jb welded on transformed the grip. Why they made the palmswell flat on this gun is its downside. Now it fills in the palm some. And the trigger.... I would have lived with it but the blister it caused on the tip of my finger was super annoying. Freaking good now though.
I have the same exact problem with the trigger. I really want to love my hellcat Pro but the blister it causes is annoying like you said also it’s snappy even for being a 3.6 inch barrel, but I already have it. I’m not gonna buy a new gun for a comp , I’m kind of stuck maybe they will offer a slide and barrel upgrade

The trigger blade safety was pinching my finger, the trigger guard was too short for my finger and the trigger guard undercut was giving me Glock knuckle. It triggered me 😠 so bad that I sold it after 2 range sessions and bought another P365XL. 😂
Just went to a gun show seen everything..and this hellcat pro comp look and feel was better than all..sig was a close second but the price point was better in the hellcat. Just saying
I have a Icarus Xmacro grip. It makes a huge difference . The weight and the thumb ledge gives it an advantage. Without the Icarus grip. My XMacro Comp , shoots about the same as my P365XL.

The only reason the trigger is smoother is because Sig’s internal safeties are terrifying. Single point of failure and the striker pin is in the fully cocked position. The trigger doesn’t have to pull it back all the way before it is released in the Hellcat Pro, just like a Glock. Sig is ready to go which terrifies me when I have a gun pointed at my junk. Plus the 15 rounds in the hellcat is smaller than 15 rounds in a 365xl. I’d rather have the option to go with 15 from the factory and swap in a 17 round mag than be stuck with a 17 round mag.
@@iankeller5787 we’re talking about the x macro comp not the xl, Sig is just as safe as Springfield lol.. if you can’t afford a nice holster or you don’t know guns enough to trust to carry it that’s on you. It’s more expensive for a reason, the sig has a better trigger period. You saying it’s smoother because it’s less safe makes no sense. Shoot an x macro comp as fast as you can and do the same with the hellcat pro, the hellcats trigger HURTS haha
@@ChristopherDLVFalse, Sig 300 lineup uses drop sear and the firing pin block is at the back like S&W shield lineup, which is a single failure point. Hellcat and Glock use back and drop sear and the firing pin is at the tip of the pin. Glock and Hellcat are internally safer than Sig 300 lineup and Shield lineup. But it also make Glock and Hellcat trigger feel not as nice.
Yeah I really like my hellcat. The grip does leave little to enjoy but overall the original hellcat is a great little EDC. Ive been thinking about upgrading to a Sig but the cost always detered me. Might have to now upgrade to the new Hellcat
The comp on the sig does indeed work….. the non ported barrel allows for more reliability. In the video it’s clearly a flatter pistol….. you really can’t beat it still
Not exactly true, when our old competition guns were comped by the factories they were all past the barrel. I will say that the comp integrated in the barrel is a better design.
Either a Monsoon lucky 7s port or the comp setups from Shadow Systems/Radian seem like the best options out there, but I applaud the efforts of both companies to taken their lineups to the next level

I’d take a comp over a big ass chunk port for CC any day of the week. I also prefer a barrel mounted comp over a slide integrated comp if I’m putting a substantial amount of rounds down range… so honestly I’d take a Hellcat RDP over both of these 😅
Also gotta figure the p365 with that grip cost probably double what the Hellcat does. One would hope this would light a fire under Sigs ass and have them drop prices to compete. But it's doubtful.
A few other reviewers feel that the Sig is a flatter shooter with a little less felt recoil. I don't own a Hellcat but I don't think it would be an improvement over the P365 platform so I am good.
