@@Bookish1995 Not really, there are massive changes to the enemies, missions, environments, story, progression, weapons, stratagems and many more. But of course it would be difficult for you to notice since you didn't play the first game.
that's what I thought, Im pretty sure in HD2 if we face this thing, there will be at least 5 berserkers chasing us, 3 heavy devastators sniping us with its minigun, and 5 rocket 'sniper' devastators raining missiles on us from every direction
except in gta it means Grand theft auto so is about car stealing and robing and shooting people however no aliens or robot exist in GTA so helldivers is not the same game because helldivers have no cars also no bad person also u can rob the bugs or the robot so in conclussion helldivers is not like gta
@@blob2092 If taken separately, yes, you are. But, seeing as you replied to someone else's comment, there is now an underlying context and so, in this context, you are wrong.
The Borgs were no joke. From the manic laugh of the berserker, to the cyber dogs, to the Hulks that had the shield / Gatling gun, and the damn APC’s. The automaton’s are hardcore, but they lack that “human” aspect I enjoyed from the cyborgs.
The Cyborgs are very fun, my last mission on them ended with a bang, quite literally. I was in three-man squad, and everything was going well despite us being in hard mode, maybe a little more? I forgot. But we were running around, blowing stuff up and completing objectives. I was in my mech until I ran dry, no problem with that right? I jumped out of my mech when the Hulk that I was engaging with, walked towards me and started to spank my mech I was out of. We were surrounded on all sides and my teammates were handing it well when I was struck by a big brain move, I thought that I should drop a grenade between the distracted Hulk and my mech so the grenade will damage the Hulk and explode my mech which would hurt the Hulk more. So, I threw my grenade to the Hulk that was still shield-bashing my mech and bingo! My throw was perfect, it was going to the exact place I needed it to be, so I turned around and ran back to my two teammates when the Hulk, still distracted hit the mech again and the animation... The ANIMATION of the shield-bash hit my grenade MID-AIR and deflected it back to my squad. I couldn't do anything... it was too fast; I could only watch as it landed in between me and my teammates... KABOOM!!!! And that ended the mission. One squad member rage quitted, and I had to leave because of house chores. Cyborgs are fun.
@@imchase7796 considering what transpired last week and the apparent git gud sentiment the devs have for some reason now, I doubt we'll be seeing anything more then a nerf to the cool down modifier at best
Is that an upgraded jump pack? I saw that one dude jump 3 times. Also, I hope we'll see some badass bossfights in Helldiver's 2. Edit: The VA for the helldivers kinda sounds like a Boss from Clone Commandos?
He definitely did! And keep in mind that in the first game if the every member of the squad died, it was game over! No automatic reinforcements as it happens in the sequel
The memories of the old heroes still lingers how they brought down the automatons during the first great war. And now theyve come back crawling are wrecking havok in every sectors especially thecreek
Apologies citizen, but the Automatons are an entirely different enemy. The heroes that fought during the Great Galactic War struck down the traitorous Cyborgs who were imprisoned in the mines of Cyberstan to repay Super Earth for their crimes. The automatons are a completely different entity of unknown origin, hellbent on destroying our way of life.
Like most things in helldivers, it's an homage to other Scifi. The siege mech is specifically a reference to the Hunter Killer tank in terminator 2s intro scenes
To be far, in HD1 armoured enemies were just literally not possible to be dealt with in any way without proper AT, and it spammed way more. I actually prefer primaries in helldivers 2, since in the first one any airstrike not for anti tank was not really useful considering the time it took for a strafing run could almost have all the enemies cleared with 'nearly' every primary, and in helldivers 2 they still do a ton of work themselves
They're like communication jammers. They stop strategem and reinforcements from being called in a small area. I guess it's meant to like shooting at the super destroyers?
@@grittytheg5077well, they are also not using their primaries against the boss here. All the damage to the boss comes from the landmines, the Tridents (one of the very best and most reliable weapons in the first game) was there just for the ads
Oh, so the shuttle can come instantly in these cases. Why tf do I have to wait 90 secs at the end of every mission for it otherwise, then? This game is full of poor, arbitrary design.
to build tension during that "last stand" maybe??? i honestly can't tell if this is bait or not, but considering It's on a 5 year old video with 20k views I doubt it lmao.
how is it arbitrary? there is no difficulty level for these special boss fights, and the spawn rate of enemies is heavily reduced. once the main attraction (the boss) is killed, its time to go. in the normal levels there is always a chance for you to be spotted by a wandering patrol, or getting to the shuttle area already being chased. the last stand there is hopefully appropriately scaled at a difficulty level your party should be manageable but still pressured by. in addition to the open level design where you need to plot a route between the different objectives, with the extraction beacon being its own objective. from an in universe standpoint its logical too. in normal levels youre just another squad in another massive battlefield. extraction shuttles have other things to worry about. a squad deployed specifically to assassinate a high value target which is the only thing of interest in the area can afford to have a shuttle waiting on them.
Depends on the mission type, HD2 Eradication missions it comes instantly too. and just cause YOU don't like it doesn't mean its poor design or arbitrary I love the evac system
